Amidst all the doom and gloom of our current situation, lets not lose sight of the fact that the Championship is not that great in terms of quality.
Even if we lose a few players we should still be able to put out a team that's more than capable of competing towards the top end of the division.
There's a lot of teams in that league who will be feeling the financial hit of Covid, whereas the Prem money will have insulated some it's impact on us.
IF we make a halfway decent managerial appointment, I see no reason for us to drop through the divisions and think we could still have a decent season.
Perversely some of the criticisms thrown at the conservative approach by the Prince to recruitment and wage structure should work to our advantage, as although we've paid high fees for some of our signings, none are on the same kind of money that have crippled teams like Sunderland, Wigan, Hull etc when they were relegated.
Also, the injuries and poor performances should put off a lot of potential suitors for some of our better players.
