Just heard a discussion about Wilder leaving on 5 live. They believe that Wilder's position was made untenable because Abdullah wants to sell 5 players in the summer.

I'm guessing he wants to sell Egan, Fleck, Ramsdale, and possibly O'Connell even though he has been injured for almost a season. Who else will we get money for?

The assets who have real value are Berge, Baldock, Bogle, Egan, JOC, RND, Brewster and maybe Ramsdale.

Fleck can't stay fit and he's 29

What if no one wanted to buy them?

Why leave it at 5?

I know 5 Live is the font of all knowledge but where did they get this rubbish from.

I thought CW was happy that Berge, who he was going to build the team around, would be off in the close season.

Don't believe this although I am willing to go with the leaky roof at Shirecliffe. I can see that is a dealbreaker. If it had been me you wouldn't have seen me for dust after the first few drops.

Maybe it’s Lowe , Robinson type squad players he’s moving on , all this is assuming 5 live is right ?
We are not in financial trouble so it seems stupid to sell all the prized assets

Berge and Mousett will go. No one will touch JOC as he is injured and will need to prove je is fully recovered . I think Stevens will go.

I dont think Fleck will go but Norwood might.

Lin y to be released

If we have to sell 5 players in summer does this mean there is going to be very few coming in during summer window. If Fleck was one and Lundstram a free agent we will be really short in midfield. Is the Prince taken the BLADES back in to League One

Personally, what i am hoping for is raising funds by clearing out the deadwood (Lunny, Stevens, Jags, Fods, Verrips, Mousse) and selling Berge with a big fat sell on percentage - Hopefully this would raise around £30m+ with savings on wages and transfer fees in.

Keep every single other young player we purchased in the EPL, we need a core of good prospects as this is the where our assets are. One very good season in the Champ and McB, Brewster + Rammers fees dont look so bad after all

They'll sell whoever they get a reasonable offer for. JoC will go for next to nothing as some PL team will gamble on his fitness and offer around 8m which the Prince having caught McCabe disease will snap their hands off
He’ll accept it based on what exactly? He hasn’t sold a single player since he’s been in full control, that’s 3 transfer windows 😂 there’s no evidence whatsoever to back up what you’re saying but carry on

We will need funds to buy players, and to cover the mortgage payments on the ground, we've already used most of the PL payments in advance to cover the purchases of Berge and Brewster

I’d expect Berge, Egan & perhaps Baldock to move to PL clubs and the board won’t stand in their way if a reasonable offer comes in.

Ramsdale could be another to go with the reported interest from West Ham. I’d hope JOC would be around in the short term. If CW were to end up at Celtic or Newcastle he might come in for the likes of Bash.

Cant see anyone else attracting too much interest.

Egan, Stevens and possibly Sharp will go with chris to Celtic if that materialises. Egan especially would be exceptional in that league, I think he’d consider Jack too but would want to see his recovery first

Berge n Bogle 6

I’d expect JOC (fitness permitting), Berge, Egan, Bogle and Fleck to be sold this summer. Jags and Lundstram to be released along with the hangers on.

Not sure anyone will take a punt on JOC given he missed the whole of the season.

Or if they do, they will get him on the cheap.

If we are goi g to lose 5 then bettis is lying saying we will keep the core together when will united learn

They will be protests

Surely you have to get rid of the players that are the oldest first ?. Maybe Chris wanted to hold on to these players and the Prince himself wanted more youthful players?. Just with Sharp ,Mcgoldrick and Jags you have over 100 years. Everyone is assuming he , the Prince is trying to commit suicide by off loading the best players and until things start to unravel no one will know.
Now the disappointment is over maybe we should be getting excited about how it will all turn out and eventually who was right. UTB.

Like 5 live have any idea what’s going on at this club right now!
It could well be 5 deadwood players... if it’s any at all! The likes of Fod, Moore, Robbo, Rodders, Jags (although I’d like to see him stay in some capacity)
I can regrettably see us loosing Egan and Berge.
I fully expect Rammers, Bogle, Brewster to stay.

Only time will tell, no point worrying about it just yet. It’ll all depend on who the next managerial appointment is. I don’t think PA is hell bent on seeing us stripped to the core and totally imploding as some are seemingly fearing right now!

I think it's a case of bladey bladeness and remembering the days of mccabes asset stripping to balance the books.
None of us know what happened between CW and the board and doubt we'll find out until the NDA runs out
Till then let's all keep our powder dry and stop falling out with each other we will either be pleasantly surprised or it will be a case of I told you so

UTB

We were having a similar discussion last night. Realistically if you were scouting out players on footage of this season performances it difficult to work out worth or value. For a promoted club are they going to gamble? An established club might with a couple but I personally think its crystal ball and cheque book time
