One drawback of being in the PL is that we are only allowed two loans from other PL clubs, and only one from any one club.

Presuming that Henderson is one, how about the others?

Johnson: No way. We will need another left wing back to cover/push Stevens

Dowell: He's been handy for his time here, and his goal against West Bromwich Albion was my favourite of the season. Trouble is he's not quite good enough for PL and we need better to use a loan on, and not quite good enough to spend north of 7 million which is what I presume he'd cost

Madine: Similar to Dowell except will be a bit cheaper although Cardiff will want to recoup at least half of the 6 million they spent on him. Not good enough for another loan, can we get a better target man than him? I'd hope so, if not I hope we go back for him

Hogan: Again falls in a similar bracket to the others. Villa spent 12 million so will want to recoup that, although if promoted that might change and they'd be happy to write it off to some extent. Yet they would be our rivals in the PL. Useful player but doesn't improve a lot on what we have and spending millions on a transfer or use up a loan doesn't seem worth it. I know he's played a bit recently but he's not even first choice at the moment.

Difficult decisions but nice to have of course!

As for the other loan (can't be from Man U), I'd look at the likes of Mount, Bowen, Abraham, Guendouzi, Targett, Reece James etc

Madine for me I’m becoming more convinced by the day that we should keep him.

We need to spend that much money on pace and goals upfront - if we can sign a good targetman for a couple of mil it’s a no brainier. He knows the lads, they seem to like him, he works hard. You say he’s not good enough for the Prem but he’s never had a proper chance. He’s got the technical ability for it for definite.

For the right price sign him up for me.

I wouldn’t want to re-loan any,

I would try to sign Henderson permanently.
Not worked out for Johnson
Madine isn’t good enough, and I don’t think Hogan has shown enough either to warrant the fee or wages.
I’d be tempted by Dowell if the price was right but certainly not worth taking up one of two loan spots.

Henderson deffo
Madine as a maybe

Out of the whole squad, I think up front is were we are at our weakest in the Premiership

Strikers are like rocking horse shit and when you find one, they usally cost the Earth

How much would Abrahams cost?
Maupay would cost a packet

And they are strikers plying their trade in the Championship

At the match yesterday someone was telling me that in Jan we enquired about Andy Caroll, but it fell through due to another deal with WH not happening

I mean, Andy Caroll? He's always injured ffs

Henderson is a shoe in,Man Utd will be looking to see how he can perform in the premier league especially as he’ll be expected to be ‘busy’ all while not willing to risk him while ever De Gea is there

Henderson.

If we can't afford to buy any strikers I'd keep Madine.

I believe a fee had already been agreed to sign Madine in the event we went up, though I wonder if Cardiff might want to keep him in the likely event they go down.

Henderson back in some form is a given. The rest have all played a part but would send back as I think we can improve on each.

None, ideally.

Henderson would be better signed permanently.

I like Dowell but we can't use one of the loan spots on him.
