06/07 still gets talked about as one of football's most controversial relegations, this season will be the one that everyone forgets. Liverpool, arguably the best team in the world last season, are sat in 7th and conceded seven goals in a game against Villa. This will always be a bizarre year, fans were utterly detached, teams were struggling to get any kind of form, Man U lost at Old Trafford to one of the worst sides in Prem history and still look set for second. This season is garbage, results are all over the place, most games aren't any good to watch, and fans won't be there to celebrate the success.I prefer it this way.
It stopped being painful way before Christmas and it doesn't feel like a real season anyway. It's just a bit boring. 06/07 was fucking traumatic on the other hand.
So yeah I'd give this one a TripAdvisor rating of 3/5 - Would get relegated again, and will recommend it to a friend.
Correct. We weren't humiliated like this season06/07 still gets talked about as one of football's most controversial relegations, this season will be the one that everyone forgets. This is a non-season, strike it from the record and move on. That last game in '07 was one of the most dramatic moments in recent football history and hurt like hell.

Exactly. This just feels like a simulated season. Even the loss of Wilder isn't as keenly felt as if we'd all being there watching it unfold.
I think that's it, they have nobody to answer to other than us commenting about it on here, an idiot with nothing better to do than send abusive messages on social media or the talking heads on TV.Yeah, I feel like with fans in the ground every week you'd have either felt the support still rallying behind him and the players or there'd have been enough turn on him that we'd have all seen the writing on the wall. Would've probably made the decision one way or the other happen sooner.
Affected me badly this season. Just going into sub conscious hibernation until next season. I think the media exposure of football in modern times has compounded our demise, and my misery.I think this season has probably been my worst ever, since around 1973. Embarrassing doesn't even come close.
I'm still haunted by that memory, losing to Chelsea late on. I was dropping my daughter off at home just above Hillsborough. We were safe when I set off for home , 20 minutes later ... This season has been worse. There's certainly no 'only to us could this happen' feeling.
I think under Bassett was the worst. It wasn't just the last match. It was the last minute of the last match.
Though certainly being on the cusp of Champions League or Europa League trajectory, with all our rivals nursing major injuries, only to be undone by a once in century pandemic, can be filed as being very Sheffield United.
Filed next to having a great team in the late 30s only for WWII to break out and Carlos Tevez.
You might not think that I’d you’d been there...it was horrible.I'm still haunted by that memory, losing to Chelsea late on. I was dropping my daughter off at home just above Hillsborough. We were safe when I set off for home , 20 minutes later ... This season has been worse.

In my opinion, this has been the worst by far. Back then we were literally fighting for our Premier league lives, till the very last minute... This season is nothing short of embarrassing. Both absolutely shite for differing ways. At least I enjoyed the majority of 06/07, whereas this season has been horrible throughout. I'd have to say this season is much worse overall, but gradually receiving the pain is easier to deal with than one extreme burst.
Yeah, we’d at least have gone down with a little bit of self respect in still in tact. How fantastic would it be to only need a point in the final game this season. Way better whatever would have happened if that had been the case.
By the one character who doesn't seem to appear you mean Lundstrum right...?20/21 relegation is like an episode of Scooby Doo in that you know exactly what's happening after five minutes, then come back 15 minutes later and wonder why they haven't worked out that the one character that's never appeared before is the one that did it
06/07 was more like an episode of Deal or No Deal where you end up with a choice of 10k or a penny at the end. It's equally shit programming throughout, but at least the end has something riding on it
I went to Oldham, confident that we'd win there, so didn't bother getting tickets for Chelsea. From memory Tracey made a mess of a clearance and we drew 1-1, and on the way back over the Pennines I feared Saturday. But all was going well until those last few seconds. I was in Nottingham that night for a birthday and got stupidly drunk and spent the night in the cells after getting in a fight in a pub. A truly miserable day when everything conspired against us. Basset performed so many miracles but even he couldn't survive the Deano sale and bent Wimbledon at Everton. This one has been a picnic. You might not think that I’d you’d been there...it was horrible.
