Not been down on a sunday for quite a while, but watching the Sunday Stripper at Chap Club used to be a sunday ritual for me.

Yes I thought back in 18oo and frozen we might have played Accrington Stanley. But nope never played 'em.

Was interesting looking at all the unusual teams like Bradford Park Avenue. Shame about them. Did they not play in green and white stripes?

I think we have played Accrington Stanley - that was the only play off final we've ever won on the 22nd April 1893 (I think). We won 1-0 and played in Nottingham.

*Correction - we won Accrington F.C who folded in 1896 - not to be confused with Accrington Stanley.

Yes I thought back in 18oo and frozen we might have played Accrington Stanley. But nope never played 'em. However perhaps 11 v 11 has not quite got right because we played Accrington in a test match (a play off) and won - shock/horror apparently leading to Accrington's demise.

Well sort of and have just re-checked. Technically that was Accrington but 11 v 11 don't list it. It was a test match/quasi play off. Led to Accrington resigning as they would not accept playing in League Division Two.
