I obviously don't get the chance to go to the gams very often so I try to watch the highlights on TV and listen to radio reports when I can. One thing strikes me every time I listen to Adams is who is inspiring our players? Every time he speaks on the radio he seems utterly defeated with no clue how to respond to the problems we're facing. Surely, as the leader of the team, he can't afford to send out this message; he should be trying to gee up the players, to get them motivated for the upcoming games rather than weep into the nearest microphone about how he doesn't know what to do?

I've worked in various teams and you always take the attitude from the boss; if he's happy and confident it gives you more confidence but if he's downbeat and negative then that's what you take from him.

Even if he doesn't feel confident he shouldn't let this show publically. He's the boss, it's his responsibility to get the players in the best possible shape, both physically and mentally. Sadly this is yet another thing he's failing to do right now.

Agreed van, and it kind of makes a mockery of those that thought we were getting some sort of Warnock mark II.

Let's hope he's not the one trying to inspire our return to this league in august.

We will need more than inspiration to get out of League One unless the board has an overhaul, managers and players are just scapegoats for the board's mismanagement of a football club.
We have a Premiership club run by a League One board!

league one board, me thinks thats a compliment

The fact that he is still here just highlights the absolute mess we are in. He is clearly defeated yet we are in such a state that no one sees the point in sacking him or even him resigning. He should do the honorable thing and resign. The club should then put someone in temporary charge while we, for once, take the time to find someone who can put a side together. I seriously doubt we will be challenging for promotion next season but the right structure needs to be put in place before the summer.

To be fair, how can he possibly pick up on any positives at the moment ? I remember Warnock saying it's all well and good laying all the motivational blame on the manager but when times are bad, who motivates the manager ? I presume that's why Bassett was brought in. The players also have to take a large portion of blame when he backs them and they constantly let him down.

I hope he sticks it out, re-builds in the Summer and starts with a clean slate and more of his squad but I must admit, defeat to Leeds on Saturday might be the final straw if he's feeling as bad as he sounded on Saturday.

Totally agree Vancouver. After hearing and reading about his after match comments I fully expected him to have gone by this morning. Alas........
