End of August 2016. Blades bottom of League One with 1 point from 4 games. Panic button pressed - everyone wanted Wilder out. Boom May 100 points 92 goals. Lets give it time for them to settle. I would like some additions but I am not panicking. 13 shots and 60% possession is good away from home, just need to be clinical.

My memory aint great but pretty sure phrases like he is out of his depth and we lack quality, same as last season, we are going down were echoing around this website.

i new we wouldn't have the quality of some of the teams in this league but I was expecting our fighting spirit to overcome at least some of that but I haven't seen it in the last 2 games really.

I was expecting a lot more pressing and closing down from us.

Hopefully we will pick it up at home but the last 2 games have been a bit of a damp squib

we scored an injury time equaliser that should have stood on Saturday... there was the fight. tonight we were beaten by the other promotion favourites, managed by the biggest blade whoever lived except when he comes up against us. Be reyt.

And technical ability, unfortunately. We played good football last season, but we weren't put under the sort of pressure we have been and will be this season. There's only Coutts and, to an extent, Clarke and possibly Evans and Brooks that have looked comfortable on the ball this season. The rest look panicked and don't seem to have the skill and technique to retain possession. We just haven't kept the ball well in the games I've seen. Granted I missed tonight and I've seen a figure of 60% possession mentioned, but how much of this was after Cardiff went 2-0 up and took their foot off the gas?

He's got to tell McCabe that the present side was built to get out of L1.

But it won't keep us in the Championship.

The question is whether that bothers our Kevin or not.

It's not a lack of fight, it's the difference in fitness and athleticism that we're coming up against, not to mention quality.

Does anyone really expect us to play an effective pressing game with Sharp and Clarke up front?

McCabe, fair enough, but we have another owner who, if I remember correctly, promised investment should we get into the Championship. Now I'm the first one to enjoy the underdog spirit and kudos about competing with big spending clubs with players from the lower leagues but our owners may have to dig deep to recruit appropriate quality players

Think its the same situation as when we went back to PL. McCabe told Colin to keep us there with what we had. Seem to recall an interview with McCabe saying the PL income at the end of the season would be invested in the team (jam tommora). When BRP came on board the day after the transfer window closed it was wait until JTW (jam tomorra) then it was think Liverpool and the funds will be put in as soon as we get to the Championship (jam tommora). Now we are here its the BRP is trying to get investers involved for JTW (jam tommora).

AS someone used to say when I lived on BladesMad same old, same old.

Heres the problem (I know you all know it but its advice from my therapist to write it down)..... McCabe wants to own the club but he either does not the money or is not prepared to fund the club to today's market, he's 5 years behind the big boys. No one will invest, just imagine if someone said to you invest in my house but I get to keep it, you only get any profit or loss but you'll never get either cause I own it and won't sell.

So its jam tomma guys, but tomorra never comes!

KimD stop sounding positive, this is the morning after back to back defeats, we are all trying to adjust our expectations without going into meltdown.......
