For me one of the top 3 players of the season (not saying much) and he hasn't featured since Harris came back. I'm one of Harris' biggest fans but Wallace has looked class and comfortable since he started playing at left back. Always an outlet, always happy to take the ball and start at attack. He's good in possession too.

He shows more bollocks than half of the team and he has played less than 15 games for us.

He should be in the first team. It's okay taking him out of the firing line while we go through this awful patch but HE could be one of the players to trigger a surge in form. Him and Brayford attacking from fullback of even him in midfield offering a bit of bite, controlled aggression and quick feet and movement. It's missing at the moment and Kieran might just be the man or kid we need.

I'm not pinning all our hopes on his shoulders but I've seen more than enough of him to have a bit of faith. Nevermind Che he could well be the one who goes on to play at the higher level if he gets his head down, it wouldn't surprise me.

He'd be in the team for me too. Was MoM on a couple of occasions for me before getting dropped. Was chipping in with assists as well as being decent defensively. Then again, Harris has had a couple of set piece assists in the last two games so probably won't be dropped.

I like the lad,but Harris is still getting back up to speed and improving with more games..2 assists from set pieces in the last 2 games and could have had more...Plays some great balls from deep aswell.

Brayford - Basham - Edgar - K Wallace?

Or is Basham still better off midfield helping Hammond?

Wallace is a poor footballer. Harris is far superior and is rightly being picked ahead of him. Wallace does try hard, but this alone isn't enough. I would be very surprised if he becomes a first team regular anywhere at this level, let alone a higher one.

If Edgar is out injured with a recurrence of his thigh injury, we're going to have to replace him at Centre Back.
I would rather play K.Wallace there than the other options (McCevely, McGahey, or another midfield reshuffle involving Basham).
Give him a try against Oldham in the cup and if it's not disastrous leave him there until Edgar returns.

Very surprising that Wallace isn't even making the bench these days given his versatility. Too much "wanting to keep experienced players involved", not enough decisiveness IMO.

Hopefully it's a case of trying to give players like McEveley and co a shop window to display themselves and move them on in Jan knowing Wallace and co can come in and do the job.

Yet Adkins has given him a contract till 2018

Considering the slating his other signings have taken, that's no indicator of quality.

True, but it is worrying Adkins is handing out contracts when he has stated the squad is 42/43 and needs reducing will be interesting who he gets rid of and the size of squad he thinks is acceptable.

would be interesting to see who these 42/43 members of his squad are....even on Wiki there are only 40 names... and this includes the likes of David Brooks, Ben Whiteman, Julian Banton, Otis Khan, C.J Hamilton, Manny Adebowale who I dont think have been in the match day 18?

Speaking of which, surprised I've not seen anything on here about Banton's goal on Monday for the U21s. Late sprint forward from the back and a peach of a strike. Gerrim in.

Think it was Whiteman or summat. Reyt goal though.

Whether it's 40 or 40+ that's too many for a 3rd tier club, not only in wages but blocking a path to the 1st team for any would be prospects from the Academy or development squad. We have a squad of quantity and very little quality that needs to be addressed and June is our opportunity start that process, the Academy needs to be addressed IMO handing out contracts to players who have little chance of the reaching first team is just inflating the squad.

If only we had someone in the first team who could do that!

We had a easier chance than that Saturday in the second half ,what happened a powder puff of an effort and wide
When we where 1 up that may have been game over and an extra 2 points????

There was a thread on this. When you take out kids and players on loan it's about 27 I think.
To get to 43 he must have included every player with a contract from age 16 and above. If Chelsea or Man U did that they'd be saying they had a squad of about 150.

But thats the point... lots of those included are "academy players"
