Weren't we 12 points behind them at one point?

TBH I never had much of a problem with Bolton until they came all over here giving it the big 'un. I mean, banter's one thing, but total fucking delusion gets a bit boring after a while

In truth, we would have done it at the first attempt ourselves without a ridiculous misfortune. The second attempt was torpedoed from the boardroom. The third we hobbled ourselves at the start. The fourth the manager inexplicably cocked up. The fifth was an unforeseen and unmitigated disaster.

But the sixth... Well that was as near to perfection as a season could be.

A perfect summary of the last 6 seasons. It's been painful but we've finally done it and in style.

On their forum there is serious talk of playing Wheater up front in the absence of Madine as they are lost without a big bloke up front.

It's true that on paper they couldn't really have asked for a better run in.

However, as we all know games are played on the pitch, not on paper and pressure can sometimes produce strange results.

I would point out that Bolton lost to Oldham two days ago, and yet Oldham have scored fewer goals than any other side in the division.
Bolton have also failed to score in both of their fixtures against Chesterfield, and they lost at home to Swindon. They have also dropped points away to Coventry.

Given that Port Vale and Bury really need the points, and that Bolton's results have been a bit patchy against some of the struggling sides, I think many of their supporters will be feeling more than a little nervous. We certainly would if we were in their position.

Edit - And they did lose the away fixture at Peterborough
