Where do we start looking for a new manager?

I'd add Done, McNulty, Alcock, Flynn, Kennedy, Howard, Freeman, Baxter, maybe Scougall and just possibly Coutts to that list. It's height, muscle and game-changers we need to add.

Doesn't look too bad already does it, probably need to get rid of more players than we actually sign. Let's hope there is a player in Coutts and then CB and a tough tackling midfielder are our only true needs.

My priorities would be: 1. Tall and strong Centre half. 2. Main Striker 3. Strong central defender 4. Strong midfielder 5. Striker for third choice in strike-force of four.

Definitely height in at least three of the signings.

Suppose 5 is tops if we are going for real quality. Prem clubs might trust Adkins with their young stars for a season. I'd stick with Howard because I don't think 6 new signings is realistic.

On the club website at the moment is confirmation that the prince was involved in the process from afar but Phipps and "Sal" did much of the travelling and talking to various people. This has been confirmed in Phipps' other communications.

No mention of McCabe being involved as I suspected in the OP. However McCabe did mention at the Press Conference that he had approached Adkins a couple of years ago when he " was not ready to come to us".

I think the power is with the newest owner generally with a view to him taking all the club over in due course.

Adkins thought McCabe had gone and agreed to come. Got a reight shock when he got to the press conference ;)

They told him he was just the landlord. Always hanging around, like Rigsby.
