Has the "Look again in Mid September"
Now replaced Let's see where we are the first game of the season ?
I mean bearing in mind Wilder said we'd be doing our business early erks me quite a bit. Also look again mid September when we've already played 4+ games? This is what I'm saying, it's same year in year out there's no actual planning in place. We drag our feet all the time

Get lumping on at 22/1 then, no way is our squad even as it stands one of the 3 weakest in the league, complete over reaction, and as much as it’s not currently as strong as we all would like their will be more incomings before the window shuts.
It's 20/1, shortening further and I have.

I've always waited until the we have played the first 10 games before judging. Not going to criticise the players, I stopped going just after the loss of my mum.
I shall wait and see what happens, it's always been long summers with nowt happening.
It's just what blades do, but I always look forward to the start of the new season, whatever it may entail.
Here's hoping though, up the blades, for those going tomorrow good on ya, don't forget ya L.A.W.S to get out of Mansfield.

Amount of negatives in our fanbase at minute is incredible.

I will buy a full Wednesday kit and wear it to the first home game next season if we are relegated.

Get a grip people. Window closes in 3 weeks. Even if we didn't sell or buy anybody between now and then, we still finish top half

A genuine "full kit wanker"

It's a rhetorical question, but where do we actually go from here?

Same old same old etc, but we yet again haven't been pro active with the transfer market, ins or outs. Yeah it may well be a struggle selling players off that are absolute bobbar but our planning is absolutely atrocious.

I was fairly excited for the big change but it was more hope than anything else 🤣

We've gone from looking like we're wanting to play with wingers after signing Donovan, and keeping the 3 behind the striker to selling Brooks to balance our books and now for Hamer to leave 1 week before the season starts. Which then more or less demolishes our formation now.

Do we go back to a back 3 (personally I would atm), but then we lack CBs after chasing someone who we obviously cannot afford without selling more players? No plan B involved after seeing there was/is still good CBs in the free agent market. Missed out on Dael Fry, Adam Webster looking like he's off to West Ham.

The hearings of Seriki not that interested in signing a new deal (could well be a load of crap but who can blame him?)

Yet again the rebuild we was PROMISED. I have to reiterate that, we was promised one. To then signing 2 players, 3 if you count the Jairo Fck up. For the squad to be virtually the same but without 50-60% of our goal contributions is a laugh.

I didn't expect a mass overhaul but I also didn't expect us a starting 11 that all was here last season bar the creativity.

I know we have our hands tied behind our back, but I do feel like this season is going to be like the last, sell Hamer then panic buy in the last week of the window then back to square one.

I've added my starting 11 in the current situation.View attachment 241593
Wilder already pretty much said about seriki contract negotiations will be starting or have started....

Only ones that didnt want to negotiate new contracts have been Brooks & Hamer, thats why they are getting sold.

I think you are overthinking !
Look again in mid September and then decide if it is the “same old” or not.
Shouldn't have to wait till September, it is the same old as yet again the business is getting done as late as possible, even with Wilders moans about the window being open so late. Thank god it is in our case

Clearly we will not have the players we want by the first game, so 210 days or so after the window shuts seems a better time to reflect.
I agree that having the window open after the season has started is crazy

If quality loans are not made available until a week or so before the window closes, what can we do about it if we cannot make permanent acquisitions in late July?
Close the window two weeks before the season starts would be my preference.

Not sure in what world you genuinely think we have one of the worst 3 squads in the league?. Clear like throwing your money away then.
Because we finished 13th last season and have since lost our 2 most creative players and best defender in Bindon. We are bang in trouble. Clubs around us are strengthening and we are going backwards.
It's mostly completely out of our control I'm not pointing the finger. No club has been affected harder by the new SCR rules than us, but I'll be delighted if I lose that money

You dont need one of the 3 worst squads to go down, ask Leicester fans, not saying we will but if we dont bring another CB in 20/1 is good odds.

Watch Smith 'rag doll" our CBs tomorrow.

I'm convinced the Brum team will be this:

Cooper

Seriki Tang Baptiste McCallum

Donovan Blaster Jairo O'Hare

Bamford Cannon

We will bring in another CB though, as bad as the board have been at times do you really think they will look at our defence at the moment and be happy with it?.

Have to laugh at some comments # in our financial position we had parachute payments for 2 years some clubs haven't had them and are better prepared than we are
If we can't get top 8 we are worse than people allege

Not forgetting we finished 13th despite being on 0 points after 6 matches due to the Selles disaster, our form for the remaining 40 was comfortably top half.

How are quality loans made later and not earlier? Makes no sense. Tell that to Stoke and Ashley Phillips last summer, loaned before the season starts.

Because the PL clubs don't finalise their squads until late on, so we don't necessarily know which players might be available.
