Christ! Negativity is taken to new extremes! I question how you motivate yourself to function day to day if this outlook extends beyond football.

Cynicism as opposed to negativity - you should be able to tell the difference if you remove those tinted spectacles with the fluffy rims
This is a forum about Sheffield United and nothing to do with the rich tapestry of my life outside the shackles of my persona on here :)
Too many years of low expectations and even lower delivery by my club o_O

It's taken you four years of membership to come out with that? :p

Welcome to the forum and the "debate" ;)

we had a very simiñar thread saying how we had no money and that wed need to sell before we buy a couple of days before spending 1.5 million on Brayford 6 months ago

wish people would give us a chance to do business in the proper way, not buy some dumb shit just to appease the cynics

£750K should get you three 3rd division centre halves.
You could either have three average centre backs for £750k that you are stuck with on 2/3 year deals and stay in that league.

On the other hand you could spend that amount on one centre back good enough to play in the Championship who potentially will guide you to promotion like Collins and Maguire nearly did.

to answer the OP - we are virtually exactly where we were at the end of last season.

With the same players why should things be any different to when we got dumped out by Swindon.

If NA and his team can somehow conjure up an extra 20/30% from this squad then we might just go up.
If Wallace comes good and stays fit and a couple of astute signings then again we might do ok.

If the status quo continues into the season then we will finish exactly where we did last season.

Enthusiasm for the new season and forever being a glass half full could easily turn to desperation come October time.

We live in hope............

Groundhog!

Get the centre backs on board and I think it'll be a a starting off point and I do reckon these will come in on loan.
It will be all different with Adkins tactically far from the mind numbing exploits of Clough .
This season I want to be entertained not coming back from the Lane depressed.
Apart from the CB situation there's enough talent to get us up and running there's a lot on here who will disagree let's wait and see.
