Not sure if you've noticed, Oldham are in the same division. Therefore he's scoring against the same teams as we are playing.
He scored 1 and assisted two yesterday.. At Gillingham, who tonked us 4-0 and had a 100% home record.
On Tuesday he scored against Port Vale. Again, a team we lost too.
So - he helped Oldham obtain 2pts against teams we got a grand total of 0pts against. So if he's good enough for Oldham but not good enough for us.. How does that work?
I could understand if they were in a lower league to us but unfortunately, they're not.
*sigh
Steven Naismith scored a hat trick past Chelsea, the reigning champs, earlier in the season. Are we then suggesting he should play for Chelsea/Man City (whichever wins the league this season), despite plenty of other games where he hasn't scored?
Scoring a couple of goals here and there does not make you a world beater, surely you can see that. I have seen Higdon play loads of times and I am gobsmacked that anyone not related to him would try and argue he is good enough to play for us. He is lazy, has no touch, does not jump and looks like he should have retired years ago. He is a hinderance.
I'm amazed even you can say "if he's good enough for Oldham but not good enough for us.. How does that work?"
Oldham are 18th. We are 7th. Their top scorers have 2, ours has 6. I appreciate it's early to be looking at tables, but we all know we'll finish above Oldham because we are better than them. Therefore, it is perfectly possible he's good enough for them and not us, but the jury is out on whether he's good enough for them.
Come back to me when he scores 15 goals and Oldham are knocking on the door of the playoffs, because that's who we need.
