That title is far too upbeat for Morrisey !

Which gives me a good opportunity to revisit a Smith’s classic …… with the current situation in mind.

- League 1 Bindon

- Mcguinness who looked awful in a relegated Luton side

- Ogbene coming back from a serious injury

- Chong who's had 6 clubs in last 7 years and starting to become a journeyman and not really lit it up at any club

- Godfrey who was poor at Ipswich and Atalanta and been a bomb scare so far for us

- Ings not up to match fitness

- Mee not up to match fitness

- Soumare not deemed good enough by 2 managers

- Plus a whole lot of development players

- Matos probably good enough to start but certainly a downgrade on Souza


Basically leaves only Tanganga you could argue is an upgrade on our team last year...

See I think the jury's out on all our signings.

Bindon and Barry came with glowing references. But haven't shown much yet.

McGuinness commanded a hefty fee last year when Luton signed him. Luton were overall dreadful last season though so not all him.

Ogbene must have something about him but has come back from bad injury yes.

Chong did ok with Luton in PL. Haven't seen enough of him yet.

Correct on ings and mee though. Although mee may be fitter than we believe.

Godfrey came with less than glowing reports though. RB is a worry. But I do think Seriki could do well in. Rwb role. But that requires a formation change.

Soumare came with some promising reports.

Matos unsure on myself. I thought he was ok Vs Ipswich first half.

I thought he may have been our worst player last weekend. But again can't judge on just one or two games.
