When did we last lose a league match after going 1-0 up? We haven't this season, and we didn't last season either. Was it as far back as the Premier season?

That's a pretty decent record. The problem is scoring first :p.

We've only won 2 league games from behind in the same period too. So basically if you're the first team to score in a game with us you're not likely to lose!

EDIT: By the way, now you've mentioned this record it's guaranteed to be broken tomorrow :(

Even more reason to play more attacking football! If once we get in front we win then we really should just go on the offensive from kick-off.

I was re-reading an old issue of FourFourTwo the other day, the Johan Cruyff special. Cruyff basically said that when you are in the lead instead of sending on a defender to protect the lead, but allowing the opposition to come at you, send on another attacker to get the opposition even more on the back foot. Then all they can do is defend, and you stand a very good chance of scoring even more. Of course, he used to advocate smoking lots of tabs every day too.

Away at Ipswich Town in February 2003. We were 2-0 up thanks to goals from Ndlovu and Windass against ten men after Counago was sent off early for an incident with Brown. Then Ipswich hit back through Bent 2 and Ambrose with Bent netting the winner in 88th minute. I think the Tractor Boys were rather emotional that day due to a scout/coach dying in the build up?

This has always been what I've thought too.
