It was the line up for the last league match of the season. Lost 2-0 at home to Hull. Harry Latham's last competitive game for us.

I grew up in the 60s on the Gleadless Valley, and on the parade of shops at Newfield Green (near Blackstock pub), Harold Brook owned the newsagents, and Joe Shaw owned a haberdashers shop (for youngsters, this is shop selling wool/fabric/cottons etc.)

We won the 2nd tier in 1953

I've possibly posted this before, but a friend of mine, who posts on here, who is not in the Carrier Bag Firm, but at the same time is not not in the Carrier Bag Firm, bought at auction, and owns, a Winners Medal from that 1953 Second Division season.

We did win a test match in 1893 against Accrington at Nottingham though. Test matches were similar to play offs

Yes and we stayed in the 1st division until relegation in 1934.
