I want to keep up the positivity - anyone heard when this truly outstanding, essential member of any team will be taken away from us by clubs in higher divisions?

Willo and Supermac in midfield please. Taxi for Doyle.

PS - it is impossible to win promotion with Simmo, Collins, Monty and Cresswell as a spine of the team - mark my words, I am very rarely wrong.

At most it is improbable. Nothing of that nature is impossible and our first three results would defy your theory, though I have to concede there is a long way to go. I would get used to it if I were you......at least three of those four will be ever-present for the immediate future and I dont see Monty going anywhere either. As long as they are winning I couldnt give a toss who plays.

.......Meh.

13 minutes before a funny Hotto - slipping badly m8.

I appreciate you've been round a long time S64 on here but can you please leave this type of stuff to us professionals? After all, Swiss is trying with his Wilson nonsense and is making a right pratt of him sen at times.

:rolleyes:Hmmm:tut:Who is?

I'm pleased to see that modesty and a good memory are absent from your list of faults...

This is like the good old days - Blackwell OUT!!

My Mic alarm malfunctioned.

No problem, it was worth waiting for - quite a good one that!

The rumour is Monty is the only player attracting interest at the moment.

It's the obvious club............Leeds.

However, they want him on loan and we don't want to let him out on loan (now)

Also, there's been rumblings elsewhere that Monty's salary exceeds Leeds wage cap

So stalemate apparantly.

"The only one mate, is still trying to sort a deal with Monty & weeds, the deal is close , but not close enough, a loan move was favoured by both parties before the Oldham game, but we are wanting an off load permanent, so it's stalemate again , but the continued interest won't go away"

Make of it what you will.

Just keeping the fingers and toes crossed re Quinny staying!!!

Interesting stuff - let's hope Leeds become even more desperate. As the great and sorely missed Lenners said, nothing will sum the inept management up at BDTBL more than sending players out on loan to clubs in a higher division. Looks like we will have to pay some of his wages in a loan deal to Leeds. Quite clear imo nobody is going to pay a fee for him.

Willo has shown himself to be injury prone and also likely to pick up stupid bookings. If we don't lose him through injury, then well lose him through suspensions. We'll be lucky to get more than half a season out of him.

Dirties taken Andy Keough on loan from Wolves today. Trying to shore up their increasing list of injuries and suspensions, no doubt.
Give them a couple of weeks more and an injury to a key midfielder and maybe something will move.

Not sure that all those dirties who are calling Bates names at the moment for lack of investment and stellar signings will be in raptures about signing Monty, though.
But you know, Micadildo, I don't share your rabid hatred of Monty - I appreciate he is not the most gifted or cultured player and I also want some craft and guile in midfield - but I don't believe he is the anti-christ you always make him to be.

We can always hope that Warnock will take him - if Sir Neil keeps his job.

I didn't see the demise of poor Len. What happened to get him booted off? I notice he's now agreeing with pigfans threads criticising our ticket prices on BM . Its a bit like seeing an old colleague now reduced to a tramp picking over the bins. Sad end for a 'great' man...

cant see the sense of changing a winning formula at the moment.
cant we all just enjoy the habit of winning ways for a change.

In fairness to len, he has actually defended the club on racism over there, certainly in comparison to what's been done in S6.

The support didn't last long though and given the slight upturn in performances, albeit form a very low level, he's reduced to having a pop at ticket prices and how bad value Ched was for us. Nothing new there.

Sorry Clint - I have to practice with my lob wedge from time to time!

No one wants to pay fee for him? Really I cannot believe that!

L**ds have been interested in him for years infact the only club ever interested in him but even now they hardly seem eager to land him.

The thing is Trig, that being compulsively negative about everything is too easy. Lifes great challenges and all of Mans endeavours are ultimately futile, and so predicting failure when any success can only be fleeting and temporary is just an open goal. I can't remember the number of times I've had postmen, shop assistants, car mechanics, taxi drivers and the like telling me how they could run the hotel/restaurant/school/hospital/airline* (delete as appropriate) better than the team of 20 and 30 year professionals who are actually doing it. The whole world seems to be a vociferous critic, and there will always be something that you can find fault with even in the slickest and most professional operation, but who's fooling who? You have to start thinking beyond the end of your own penis sometime.

I freely admit Len used to really wind me up (his purpose on this earth and something that floated his boat, I suspect), but after a while you got to see the well worn garden paths he would cleverly try to get you up. For me, I lost all respect for him when he admitted (under cross examination ;) ), that he sat as quiet as a mouse at the AGM's, because he didn't have the balls (my words) to collar the people who actually matter to get his points across, (although he dressed it up as 'not wanting to be lied to' or something similar). For all the good points he raised, it was all lost in that moment. In some ways he is a loss to the forum, but he'd outstayed his welcome, become more extreme and one dimensional and his credibility even with his booster team was looking flawed. Shame...

I think I do a pretty good job as a postman despite my 30 yrs banking experience including over half of that time in management ;-)

Good points Dunc - absolutely agree with the point about fleeting moments of success. However, I used to enjoy watching him light the blue touch paper and observing the resulting display.
Len was also very adept at wafting the fire. Twas entertaining stuff.

Wilson dropping Doyle was great as he can see what we see, he seems to have a plan
which considering the last couple of years is not to be baulked at

Not taken you long to win back the tag as the most boring poster in forum history. What a load of rubbish. If it's all futile what's the point in asking a question at AGM and being lied to in response? He's doing what you would do, nowt, leaving it to the professionals like McCabe and Trevor.
