Nice one. I'd never seen him live or on video before. He looks rather handy. :)

Oh, and Buenos Aires or Mosborough? Genius.

Good video. Looks like he was quite a decent player.

It is a nice shirt aswell that, might go check that out and see if its on Toffs

I am somewhere in that crowd on the old john street terrace on the day he was introduced

Ha ha, me too. I still have nightmares about that sweater he was wearing. How many do you think turned up that day? I always say to people that it was 'thousands' but I bet in reality it was only a few hundred.

Quite a decent player? That's an understatement.
The moment he got the ball the crowd buzzed with expectation. He was very gifted beyond anything we have had for decades. He ran that match single handedly and the forwards just had to make a run to be picked out. His vision and movement was exceptional but eventually the season turned and he did not have enough around him to benefit.
If you think Andy Reid is good, then weep.

The players came up to the old De La Salle site at Beaucheif hall site to train us during a games session. I got Mick Speight training our group. I passed a stay ball back to Alex God, he passed it back to me and again back to him. What a thrill. If your average Joe these memories stick.

According to the record books it was 19,012.
