I don’t think they trust Brewster’s hamstrings to start games.. I would not mind however seeing both JRS and Brooks starting.
We’ve got to try him at some point every player in your squad has to be ready to start game. Simple•

Cooper
Gilchrist, Souttar, Anel, Burrows.
Souza, Shackleton.
Rak Sakyi, Hamer, Brooks.
Moore.

Give Peck a well earned rest because he’s playing a lot of minutes, for young muscles, in such a short space of time, at intense levels.

Give O’Hare and his chasing down a rest, him and our squad will benefit from this in future games.

Let’s get at these because they are absolutely shite at the back.

That’s a decent Line Up

Gilchrist Souttar Anel Burrows
Peck Souza
Sakyi Hamer Brooks
Moore

I want to start Brewster but would be reluctant to use him as more than a 60th minute sub. That said, if he has half a season of availability and we've only used him from the bench, then he gets injured anyway, that would feel like a real waste

Cooper
Gilchrist Souttar Ahmedhodzic Burrows
Souza Hamer
O'Hare
Rak-Sakyi Moore Brooks

That would be my team selection on Saturday. Time to give Peck and O'Hare a rest as I think they need it and we will benefit from it both on thr day and for future matches. We need to be careful that we don't burn out our players as we have such a small squad. I liked Wilder's thinking in his team selection against Swansea with 3 changes. Those 3 will have the benefit of a much needed break and now it's Peck and O'Hares turn imo. Use the squad at busy times in the fuxture list. Peck especially was looking knackered against Swansea which is understandable for a young pup and the amount of games he's recently played.

Same team , never change a winning side… Brewster is a good impact sub

There's been a tendency to think of it's either Brooks or Rak-Sakyi. Watching Lyon destroy Rangers last night they had two traditional wingers who caused most of the damage.

It would be exciting to see these two on the pitch at the same time.

I know football forums are for opinions but whenever I see Hamer play as a #6 I just shake my head and wonder if they are just doing it for attention.

O Hare is the best presser from the front we have by miles - although Brewster has done OK in his cameos - the calls to replace O Hare with Brewster in the starting line up IMO = mental.

With international break coming up I suspect the 3 changes from Tuesday reversed and that's it

I agree, and I think Peck and O’Hare could be replaced after an hour to help rest them up. Plus Hamer/Souza depending on how the bookings are looking and the match situation.

Can see Shacks and Brewster on after an hour, along with maybe Brooks.

Cards before Leeds is a big question mark. Souza should have tried better to get one against Swansea to see his ban out at Luton.

O'Hare hasn't been that good recently and often tries to drift wide, so with that in mind I've switched him to the right wing. Ordinarily I'd drop him but I'm equally unimpressed with Rak-Sakyi and Brooks recently.

Rak-Sakyi has been largely bang average and Brooks has driven forward positively, but he always takes two or three extra touches before passing/crossing/shooting and this has nullified his own threat. He's very wasteful and hesitant with the ball. Look when Brooks was played in one on one with the keeper against Swansea. Acres of space and time. Take a touch, put it where you want it and shoot. Brooks? No. Took a touch. Took another touch. Cut inside, touch to control it, then shoot by which point two defenders had dropped back to close him down and the keeper was off his line to close the angles. A golden opportunity wasted through hesitancy and too many touches. For these reasons I'd leave both on the bench.

Brewster has been getting more involved in matches and can act as a link up man for the midfield, as well as partner of Moore albeit slightly behind him.

He played it at Coventry and blaster has scored 2 goals from that position and still gets forwards it’s better than playing him in the wing

Brooks in for JRS. Other than that stick to the established 11.

Cooper
Gilchrist Souttar Anel Burrows
Brooks Hamer Souza O'Hare
Brewster Moore
Let's start with 2 up top, Rak-Sakyi did nothing on we'd so give Brewster a start, he's got ability and tell him to go for it instead of messing around giving him 10/15 mins here and there, if his Hamstring goes, it goes, fed up of waiting for him to do something, hope he can or he's another Jebbo UTB

Hope the coaches will work on this with Brooks - I often find myself screaming shoot or pass at him after he's driven forward beautifully - if he could sort this out he would be on his way to a really effective threat for us

First 7 names pick themselves.
Front 4 from :
JRS , Brooks , Hamer , O'Hare , Moore , Brewster , Campbell - that's 7.
Wide choice but Wilder hasn't got it properly sorted yet and we are at the second international break.
We don't look fluid going forward and we don't look like scoring at a rate to match our league position.
Great points haul but not yet faced any team from current top 7.
What haven't we tried yet ?
Hamer behind Moore.
Brewster behind Moore.
Campbell behind Moore.
Both JRS & Brooks at same time.
Crosses from byline to Moore's head.
Better corners.
Stop playing in front of opponents defenders , more through balls , more passes inside their FBs for our speedy wingers to run onto.
I'm sure we have the talent to put opponents under more pressure.
Find a way Chris

Give O’Hare a rest . He is clearly not performing as he was when he first came into the side and would probably perform better as an impact sub .

This would give the opportunity to move Hamer into a more central position , allowing Brooks to come in wide left but rotating with JRS to cause confusion to the opposition , a tactic which is much underused these days but which has been very successful for a number of teams in the past including ourselves .

On a more general note , what a joy it is to see us playing with a well organised back four with two holding midfielders , all of whom are highly competent and obviously understand and are comfortable in the roles they are asked to play .

Compare this to last season’s disastrous approach by both managers of trying to play in the Premier League of all places , with a back three and wingbacks when the options in respect of the latter on the right were Bogle or Osborn and on the left a choice of Max Lowe , Luke Thomas or Larouci .
