JD, of course passion and commitment will be vital in keeping us up but don't fall for the non-sequitur that such qualities are the exclusive preserve of longball teams. Man Utd, Arsenal, Barcelona et al have them in abundance.

Very few sets of fans would even contemplate this debate. They would think it absurd.

He's a good player, I agree. I'm just thinking pragmatically, and I think that we will need to cash in where we can to give MA the best chance of doing what he needs to do during January. And I would look to move on him & Ward if at all possible. Both expendable with an eye to the bigger picture in my opinion.

Goals against column suggests centre half and goalie are top of the list.

Stuart McCall played under Warnock and hardly ever hit a pass further than 20 yards. I want Britton to fill the same role.

Got to agree. Even if we are going to push the ball forwards early the better it is delivered into channels then the more effective it is. A good passer will reduce the number of 50/50 balls or hopefull/pointless balls.

Too early but one thing he has done is made me enjoy a game again. [Was even OK at 0-2 cus Donny had only had one chance and a spozzy pen.]
