Stop tempting fate.

It's highly unlikely we will get caught, but if for instance Billy was to pick up a serious injury in the next couple games it would radically change things.

I can foresee one thing....us debating this after every game.

Anything is technically possible. So until things really are settled then nobody can say we will do this or that for sure.

But, what I can say is that if we keep the team fit, maintain the options we have in the squad and play to 60-70% of our best every week we will have enough to go up with the points total and gap we have to third. Especially as apart from Fleetwood nobody is really in top form.
We weren't great last night, and even in the second half we were wasteful in possession, and defended set pieces quite poorly. But we won, and Wilder won't allow for complacency.
We will continue to work hard, prepare perfectly and this means that we will maintain our challenge to win the league.

This is where Chelsea could come unstuck.

If they turn at BDTBL they'll miss their game that week (whoever that is against) and be docked points.
No, we'll take them on, after our other game. And beat them. Chelsea wankers.

'Chillax dudes'...

Cheers ESA. I really needed to hear that after the shitty week I'm having (last night excepted). Reminded me of good times. Sarah Cracknell has a beautiful voice, makes me want to cry.

Every other set of fans in our league think we have won it. The Bolton, Bradford and Millwall fans are only talking about catching Fleetwood. There's only our fans who think there's any danger which is understandable

We are Yorkshiremen and women, glass is only ever half full, all good things come to those that wait.

I'm not celebrating yet. I was at Chelsea years ago, when we only had to turn up to stay up, look how that turned out. I was at the home game against Wigan, another glorious day.

Logic tells me we should be OK, my heart is saying ' don't count your chickens'

Sure you not just getting giddy Roy at all those big clubs forums to trawl through next season.

It will make things easier for me although Fleetwood need to either get a forum or fuck off

A lot of us do believe we are going to win the league. We just don't want to shout it from the rooftops and end up with egg on our face!

to get egg on our faces we need to lose 6 of the last 10
show me who believes that possible and Ill show you a village idiot

Sky bet odds: Chelsea 1/10, Newcastle 1/12, blades 1/20, Doncaster 1/4.
To win their respective leagues.
So that means that the bookies see us as biggger favourites for our title than ANY of the other leagues including Chelsea !! I have to say that bookies are usually (not always) good judges of the likely winners

I was at both of those too but I was also at Darlington and Leicester :)

Glad you said that, when I was doing that fill in "view from rivals" substitute thing a few weeks back I came to the conclusion it would be easier to find the philosophers stone than a webpage posting the views of Fleetwood fans, it's why I only did Bolton and Scunny

What's the difference between this post and a number of other posts you've put up on here recently?

We all get your point now, just because we don't all come on here every half hour and start a new post about how we'll piss it doesn't mean we don't agree. I am a cautious optimist, keep my feelings in check and hope they come in, you are like the loud mouth at the end of the bar telling everyone how good he is/we are.

We are all excited, there is just a lot of gallows humour on here, if you don't understand that then fair enough but we don't need relentless reminders of your point.
he's nervous Derek.. just needs reassurance.. with our less than stellar history i do sympathise

At the moment we are playing like a team that is on its way to promotion, if it's as champions great, second place acceptable, playoffs from this position would be a failure, my own feeling is champions but we have to stay focused for the remaining games. UTB.

My confidence for some weeks is first of all our league position has been first or second for ages, the other reason is our current form, still first or second, possibly Fleetwood in the last few weeks can challenge us, and finally our main two other rivals over most of the season are struggling, without checking the facts my feeling is boltons recent form is mid table and scunny is relegation.dosnt guarantee top two but I cannont really see us suddenly going the way of those two, think I might go and put my house on it then ;-)

Reading your post about 'form' got me interested so I thought I'd have a look at the Statto website.

I found it interesting to see that in the 'Vs Top Half' league we're 2nd behind Bolton but we've played 3 games more against the teams in the top half than Bolton, Scunthorpe and Fleetwood, which to me indicates that we've played the harder games so far and have an easier run-in.

I admire your positivity BTL, however.......
I'm pretty sure no-one realistically believes that we'll lose 6 of our last 10 matches but that doesn't mean it's not possible which is why some might prefer not to shout about it just yet.

Forgot to add that this kind of stance is not real for me. Can't remember who it was last season but after my outburst after the Southend away game someone on here said something along the lines that things must be bad if I've lost faith.

I agree with everything you say dingledog but of our ten remaining games we have to play the bottom five teams in the league, three games against fourteenth, fifteenth and sixteenth and the other two against top six teams but both are at home.
I'm just starting to believe, but not too much just yet.
