Why are people stressing that we haven't signed anyone yet?

A quick glance on the BBC website to see who has completed a move to another club on loan so far doesn't make me think we have missed out on someone.....

Frank Fielding [Blackburn - Northampton] Loan
Rostyn Griffiths [Blackburn - Accrington] Loan
Dan Smith [Plymouth - Morecambe] Loan

Big name players I'm sure you will agree.

IF Brown, Whelan, Brunt or any of the other names that are being banded about come in, then great. If not then, I'm happy and satisfied that the current bunch are more than capable of going to "Pride" Park and pikc up the 3 points we want.

Hendrie, Monty, Spring, are just 3 players vying to get into one CM spot alongside Speed. I for one have no concerns putting any of these in, because if Tonge can play in the squad and we can still get positive results with decent performances, then I'm sure as hell we won't have a problem with any of them 3.

We can even jig players about and bring in to the centre SQuinny, Halford or Sun.

Stop fretting people, we don't need a loan signing. But if a good quality player becomes available, I'm sure we won't turn down the opportunity.

Tonge has the potential to be better than Whelan, but as it stands, the better player of the last few years has been Whelan

Tonge is also a better player than Montgomery and Spring,.

Tonge again has the potential to be better than both. But sadly, he doesn't realise his potential, Spring has been impressive in seasons gone by for various teams, and he "could" be an asset. Monty will give 110% every game, something Tonge very rarely gave. I'd have put Monty in over Tonge on recent times.

Tonge looked the better player in the derby games, he has also gone to Stoke and will play ahead of Whelen, that suggests he is the better player. Obviously Tonge never realised his potential, but I dont think anybody is serious when saying Monty is the better footballer. Tonge didnt give 100% every game? Complete rubbish, sorry but that is.

Unless we replace him with somebody better, then selling him at this point of the season will be an error.

100% first few years, but if your classing the rest of the time as 100% then thats about 25% of what i could do.

Not giving his all in some matches he can be accused of. Getting beat in a sprint by JFH, Having speed outplay him at 38 years old, Not going on attacking runs.

There are a few people around saying similar things about Tonge that you have. There are others that have a different opinion, is that not what a forum is about?

You have strong views on Nick Montgomery that I happen to disagree with, that doesn't mean I wanted you to go elsewhere just because you don't agree... so why would you leave for a similar reason?

If you have a particular reason to want to go, please PM and let me know. We don't like to lose any member, regardless of their opinions and would like to make the place as inclusive and diverse as possible.

If however you'd just rather not bother coming here, then thats your choice, i'd rather you stuck around and offered your opinion though.

Me too. I might not agree with the majority of the stuff Sharpy posts, but it would be as dull as ditch water if all we did was agree with each other.
There are plenty of posters on here who I might not always see eye-to-eye with, but it doesn't mean I don't want them here, or that I would not post here anymore.

It all boils down to some people accepting that other people will have differing opinions and having the maturity to deal with that. I don't care if people agree with me or not, no matter how I might try and put across a reasoned and evidenced point of view.

Regardless of this, the way to rise above it is to continue being reasonable. Not start sniping like some do when they see who has posted a particular post...
