You are right no one knows - but let me give you a scenario: Lundstram does not develop fast enough or quick enough from now until the end of the season, and we finish 8th. What if he gets injured February 1st? We have no options now, never mind Feb 1st.
A Loanee? always a gamble. Not heard anything about Coutts prognosis tbf.
Is Basham an option - think he'll play there v Preston, but it was never a good idea for the past two seasons gone.
Leonard was on the Bleacher report as the direct replacement for Coutts - no matter what our fans think - that was CW's August plan.

CW will have a plan now for someone who can play in a similar way to Coutts (ie: it's isn't a hot potato) - think we'll know by Jan 1st, but what we need are players to change and effect how we play. We presently have no options.

I don't think long at all. Without Fleck on Saturday he will need to step his game up again, which I believe he did against Bristol City.

There are obviously a lot more options than Leonard, and Leonard certainly isn't a Coutts replacement in my opinion.

Without doubt Lundstram played well v Bristol.
Leonard was on the flip chart (Bleacher report) as replacement for Coutts - Lundstram for Fleck.

someone posted it on here a couple of days ago - it was another poster that worked out the initials of players for said positions.

I believe it was after we had been finally turned down by Southend and the third option was the kid who allegedly was left waiting by his agent on Sheffield station.

Whether it is Leonard or not - we need different options to what we have at present. Coutts out and we got neither Leonard or the kid - we are in effect 2 CM short, especially if Coutts is out until next season.

On present budgets it is quite obvious that CW wanted 2 players for each position - we still have them all over except CM.
