An admition from SUFC that we shot our bolt last year and, "very sorry, we can't afford to push on this year"

Our expectations need to be lowered by the powers that be, otherwise people will expect them to achieve the ambitions that they are making a serious push for the Premiership.

We may not like it, but a bit of honesty may just quell the bad atmosphere that has been abundant at BDTBL recently.

Having been "the bridesmaid" or "nearly men" year after year is hard enough to take, but empty promises by the club will only add to the discontent.

There not likely to say things like that when theres Season Tickets to be sold.

some people really come into their own when the club arent doing well dont they ?

i remember all your reactionary crap about how we werent going to get promoted (the season we did )muttley so you dont really have any credibility with me

Too true Kev Gee, but they have to accept that they will deal with grief. Which may in turn lead to falling season ticket sales and lower crowds.

If they managed it properly they could minimise the impact over the next couple of seasons while the recession ends and then kick on again.

If they came out and said sorry recession, building market etc we've taken a bit of a hit everythings ok but we just need to step back and regroup for a season or two then we will have another push but we need your loyal support as you are the lifeblood of the club, Id be understanding about it as Id hope all true Blades would be.

We've been a lot worse than we are now, so a small step back to take a giant leap forward in the next season or two seems a small price to pay.

I agree with your sentiments H.C. BUT we are the Blades and do it arse about face. A GIANT LEAP BACK to take a small step foward. It has always been thus as long as I can remember.UTB
