In seriousness, I've decided to only drink on matchdays and special occasions as part of my health kick. I was in the pub 3 or 4 nights a week before with shit food and no exercise to boot, so this is a drastic improvement, especially as there aren't many 'special occasions' in my life

Not had alcohol since NYE, so the cold pint of Heathen on the horizon of the working week is calling to me like a mother to its young.

This week is going to drag so fucking slowly.

I've knocked the booze on the head for a bit, hoping to go through til early march sans alcohol. Strangely enough, not missing beer at all, but the bottles of wine in the rack are taunting me summat chronic.

As pathetic as it is to admit, I genuinely don't think I've left it alone for longer than a week since late December 2010 when I was on antibiotics. If I have I don't recall doing so.

But yes, it does taste better if you lay off it a bit.
