What happens now then?

I agree..

Fuck knows why anyone wants to go there.. Blackpool in the desert ..

Vegas was the bottom of my list of places to see when we went touring around California, and Nevada, 2 years ago. It didn't appeal to me at all. I don't gamble for a start and the missus isn't into swinging even though I've tried to persuade her to let me swop her for a younger model. I heard about the big hotels with roller-coasters and gondolas in them - didn't appeal one bit. However...

We did go to Vegas and the main reason was that it's a good place to take a tour from to visit the Grand Canyon. We stayed just out of town in a fantastic Marriott Resort Hotel with wonderful spacious rooms, beautiful gardens and massive pool area. We cabbed it onto the strip at night for some "entertainment". All forms of human life are there. It was like a carnival. The big hotels have amazing buffets - you can eat just about any food on earth there - the place was absolutely buzzing. Showgirls in the street in sexy outfits - wow! I've never been anywhere like it. Some of it is "tacky" for sure, some of it is really classy too. We went to see a show, the Cirque de Soleil, which was absolutely amazing. We have fantastic steaks afterwards on the strip. We visited the designer retail mall the next day and bought up some real bargains, etc.. And we took the helicopter from there down into the Grand Canyon.

The whole thing was amazing. We toured California, Utah and Arizona last year and wanted to see different places this time. But all of us really wanted to go back to Vegas, just for a couple of days, because it was such fun.

Don't be bleedin' daft! A training session this week? Eh? You do realise we're not in the play-offs this time don't you?

Here's what happens mate...they have today off. They fly to Vegas tomorrow. They come back next week. Wilder calls them all in to the office and tells them who's in and who's out. Then we confirm the two signings that have been completed already but not confirmed.

Two signings? Ched and who's the other?

I'd imagine they'll already know who's in and who's out by now.....that'd be my guess anyway.

Trip advisor is the next tab along. :)

When I was there I didn't see groups of twenty stone women dressed a pink fairy s with Tracy's hen party on there t-shirts.

I doubt it. I very much doubt it in fact. It would be awful man-management to do that. To tell someone they've got no future right in the middle of the celebrations. What they will know is that their contracts are up for renewal, where this applies. They will also have a pretty good idea, from how much they've featured in the first team this season, as to how likely it is that they will be retained. I mean, we can all guess the obvious ones now can't we?

But you wouldn't hold those conversations now. I've been through this before as a manager, albeit, not a football manager. What some employers forget is that it's not just the "outs" that are unhappy when changes like this are made. Quite often those that remain feel unhappy at losing a good friend or a teammate. So, it's really not something to do at a time when everyone is supposed to be celebrating.

I get that but there's the whole uncertainty bit to take into account too. Personally I'd want to know as soon as possible....it's still their livelihood at the end of the day but appreciate what you're saying about conversations like this happening at a time for celebration. We'll soon see.....

First time I went was to go to The Grand Canyon..

Second time was a cheap flight and drive out to California..

We gave it a 3rd and final time when we did a tour of Yosemite, Zion and Bryce Canyon.

I detest the place.. the heat is horrendous... I'm not a Lizard!! You can't walk round during the day..

It's an extra 20 minutes or so on a flight to San Francisco or San Diego...

A drive up the Pacific Coast Highway in a convertible or Vegas?

No brainer for me

Imagine if you were a young Blade growing up now, making your first early memories of Bladey Bladeness. Poor sods. You could be forgiven for being easily mistaken into thinking it's always this incredible.

Nay lad, it's usually shite. Make the most of this! First time we've won owt in my 30 years.

Given how everybody has loved all the live streams and social media videos there will be a gap when they go to Vegas which must be a worry I've thought about this and because you lot are such a spiffing bunch of chaps, I'm prepared to make sacrifices for you.

If someone can set up a crowd funding site and raise just a meagre £20k (£3k business class airfare/ £ 5k luxury suite/ £12k for the tables so I blend in), then I'll selflessly go and cover it.

I know, I know, a fool to myself and all that....

I will post at least 20 seconds of footage each day and put the odd post on here too. I can't say fairer than that, can I?

Right then, who's chucking the first £500 in?

I'm in, can you please PM me all your bank details, pin numbers, address and D.O.B so I can sort it out?

Each to their own mate. I think it's good fun for a few days nothing more. Done the Yosemite and Bryce Canyons last year too - spectacular.

I don't mind the heat tbh - used to live abroad and got used to it.

The Pacific Coast Highway - yep did that last year too. Beautiful!

That's exactly what I said when I was there!
It typifies America for what it is. Utterly soulless and largely plastic, mirrored by the orange maniac puppet they oddly call a President.I guess at least Blackpool doesn't pretend to be summat it's not.

Beggars belief

Nice one Mr Manager ;)
