Most people I think :)

We simply can't afford to give them the wages others can. They are unwilling to compromise, so we can do nothing.

I think yer reight ........... so Killa ought to have been sold pre season.

It would have probably been cheaper...

A rough calculation on the figures i'm aware of means that a years worth of Killa's deal (without additional bonuses on promotions/performance related stuff, but including signing on fee) equates to over a quarter of our season ticket income alone (thats not taking into consideration other costs... purely a crude: money in from season tickets vs money out on killa).

were blowing about in the wind Foxy ................... the management are dithering worse than ever !

I think McCabe is up to sumat , has he pinched all the shares back yet ?

Woo Hoo season tickets going down by 25%

do you mean has he paid 50% above the market value of the shares yet?

no i mean has he pinched em back.

the timing of the de listing was impeccable by McCabe..... egm date was an owd trick anall......

Wonder how much the share price wud have jumped taking into account the cheats money?

you clearly have no grasp of (amongst other things) the way share prices work. They're on an open market where all known information is priced in. If they were so under priced as you suggest, then you were free to load up at about 4p, and make a killing on McCabe's offer. But of course that isn't the issue is it - it's more that you lost your investment because like a mug you massively overpaid at an earlier date.

It's said that the more you know, the less you think you know. You're the mirror of that argument, but still prove the rule.

this share dealind stuff is way above my head................
so help me out.

If the shares were trading at 4p a share and yer multiplied that up by the issued share capital wud that give yer the value of the club?

it would give you the value of the club in the eye of all currently interested parties. That is, assets, liabilities, the prospects of future profits (and more aptly, losses). Lots of sentiment built in too, which is where mis pricing occurs and where, if you're right, you should have made a killing.

if we owed £30M, but were due to be paid out £20M, do you think we're worth £20M?

1 + 1 is.......?

I'll ask our gert ! ............. what i do know is the de listing was predictable, the timing was impeccable and McCabe will come out better for it.
The small investors i.e the fans were led to the slaughter.

you could still buy shares on the open market at a significant discount, AFTER McCabe revealed his intentions.

Fans were led to the slaughter years earlier, when they bought in at ridiculous prices on a footballing bubble that popped. Nothing to do with McCabe.

I want: a new goalkeeper signed in January and to get sorted at the back overall! Oh, and to be able to get to some home matches in the new year.
Best we can hope for: top 6 finish I guess from what people have said!

I want the Blades back, not this modern approximation of what we're supposed to be.

I would really like a manager who has the philosophy of playing the game in an attacking and attractive manner. I don't mind us not winning (bloody hell I've seen us not winning for most of the 40 odd years I've been going) but I would like to have enjoyed watching us when I leave the ground.

I want a team that belongs to us rather than being all loanees and has the attitude that playing for us actually matters.

I want to go to away games in the knowledge that we are going for three points rather than for one.

I want to go to BDTBL knowing that the crowd will be entertained and therefore right behind the team and creating a cracking atmosphere again. The performance drives the crowd and not the other way around as some seem to think.

I want the Chairman to not keep telling us how great the ground looks, how we are financially sound and how our overseas operations are the future and actually look and sound more interested in what's going on on the pitch.

My ambition for the rest of the season is to finish higher than the pigs and win at Hillsborough. Anything else would seem a tad unrealistic in our present guise.

What he/she said, although I would quite like BDTBL being chosen to be part of a World Cup bid as opposed to the peeling surf shak at the arse end of Dingleland or the L**ds Council Stadium.

This is the CCC sometimes good sometimes not, as winter comes on it's more not. Pick any club it's the same - your "footballing CCC clubs" go through the same, we are expecting too much and need to get our minds out of the Prem for a while.

You're confusing 'good' football (whatever that might be) with 'entertaining' football. You don't have to play pretty Arsenal-style football to entertain. Just looking like you want to be there would be a start...
