What do you honestly think PH is thinking and what is being said between PH and the Prince ?

Hecky seems a bit more reflective than many managers and he’s an intelligent bloke.

Short term he’ll feel he is disappointed because he wanted to keep Sander.

But he’ll also understand that Sander wasn’t looking to sign a new deal and was in fact looking to move for nothing.

He’ll understand that when Sander moves for nothing, he’ll need to be replaced. By definition of moving for nothing, he’ll have nothing coming in to help replace him so it will come from other parts of the budget or it will be a dirt cheap option.

Given this I think he’ll soon focus on being allowed to reinvest the cash on players that will be contracted in 12 months time; players he can forge a long term relationship with and rely on.

In a very weird sort of way, this may well extend Norwood’s career too who is one of the best passes of the ball we’ve had in my time supporting the club. Whether we play 3-5-2 or 3-4-1-2 or 3-4-3, whenever Norwood plays, having a guy who can be the one to do the dirty work for him could free him up to do what he excels at. I think he has definitely improved his defensive game but his value is with the ball.

Maybe something like him and Vini Souza creating a platform for a Cole Palmer to attack teams is where we’ll settle with Slimane and O’Brien as alternatives.

Recency bias reminds us that it was the right thing to take Norwood out and replace him with Doyle however we also can’t dismiss that Norwood carried the midfield from August until February. He topped the charts in term of blocks and passes. The guy probably was mentally and physically shattered. He needed a rest.

I think Hecky will gee up the lads and focus on what we have.

Perhaps left back is a question mark, but we have an otherwise good looking defence. If he’s got Brewster, McBurnie and Traore then notwithstanding a young lad emerging, he’s got a workable attack. Midfield to be a priority but sounds like reinforcements on the way.

Hecky will look forward because that’s the only viable option.

Must be totally fascinating…

What’s your honest view ?
He’s probably frustrated by the current circumstances, but I expect that he will also be showing some strength of character and demonstrating leadership in front of the squad, and focusing minds on delivering the best that we can on Saturday.
He’s led us through a shitstorm for most of the last year, and he does it bloody well.

Because 2 players that didn't want to be part of Paul Heckingbottom's team, wanted to leave? Slight overreaction.
Add to that the transfer embargo, HRH getting duped by Dozy, the training ground fiasco, a chairman that hates Sheffield, missing out on targets this summer, no promised replacements for Ndiaye through the door.

Not really an overreaction.

Wonder how he was today, looking at Biggs twitter it was TS premiership day with managers

The board employed PH long contract with respect PH doesn't get a bigger job than the one he already has. He should walk but he won't. The club wanted a yes man and they got one regardless of the last week or so PH wouldn't kick off he would just say Listen.. we need players falling on deaf ears. 3 games in 0 points possibly 0 goals scored.. who is to blame?

Berge to Burnley was posted on here midday on Sunday, so I’d be amazed if Hecky didn’t know before benniblade!

Storming off suggests it’s was an emotional “fuck this, I’m out of here” spare of the moment decision. E.g. the Prince rang him and he decided he’d had enough.

If he did storm off on Monday, it doesn’t seem to be due to Berge in my opinion.

Maybe he had a dentist appointment?

Sounds like you are using this for your agenda to me. Just a hunch.

Also how would you have any idea whatsoever about what's been promised?

With all due respect I couldn’t give a fuck if you believe it or not 😂

Genuine question. Aside from the fact that your reply shows a complete lack of respect, do you actually want a debate?

Some of your posts seem considered, but others just steamroller through your obvious anti-Prince angle.

Probably an academic question, as I'm sure you 'don't give a fuck' what I think either?

Not questioning whether it happened, but at the risk of asking a stupid question, why would he storm out of traning? Was it to go and give Bettis a piece of his mind?
Nah
Nowt so dramatic
He had to get a shift on following Ozzy shanking the last (only) ball over the fence.
PH spotted a couple of ne’er do- wells on E scooters loitering with obvious malintent - one of the little twats was wearing a Burnley jersey & t’other was singing the Skilliman song

The more I think about it, the Hecky stormed off rumour seems like made up bollocks to me. People can claim to have a source who witnessed it, which makes a good rumour and people will believe it.

But, it just doesn’t seem like something Hecky would do! Lose his shit and storm off in front of the players at training? No fucking chance! That’s not something any decent leader would do.

Do I want a debate on a fact I already know? Errrr no… unsurprisingly I’m not interested in wasting effort

I love this recurring idea that managers should stand up to the board. They’re employees - they do their job or they find another one. He can tell them what thinks of their strategy, but he’s not going to slate them in the media to prove his mettle.

I’m certain Hecky is disappointed and hugely frustrated. I’m also certain he’ll get on with the job unless or until he gets a better offer.

Fair enough.

I think a fair few of us have similarly agreed, we won't waste our efforts either.

It would have been comedy gold if this was Wilder on the receiving end of this drama.
Wilder would have given PA a serious Chinese burn, put him in a headlock, pushed his head into the glass trophy less cabinet then slipped out the back door.

PH - 'Boss, if I called you a c**t would I get the sack?'
PA - 'Yes Paul, you cannot talk to me like that'
PH - 'What if I just thought you were a c**t, could I get the sack for that?'
PA - 'No, we cannot discipline you for what you think'
PH - 'OK, well in that case, I think your a c**t'

It couldn’t possibly be true could it, princies fanboys would never have that
That doesn’t make sense mate. You had a hissy fit at another poster, refusing to debate something you “knew” to be true. Turns out you don’t know, you heard off it someone, someone that could be feeding you bollocks or completely misinterpreted what they supposedly saw.
