Shirecliffe is now league one standards, Chansiri might be interested it is still better than a tent so he might be dumb enough to pay £5m for it.

Norton Aerodrome. My neck of the woods. I grew up nearby in Hemsworth, off Constable Road.
Have to say also, it is ideally placed with decent road routes to the south and west of Sheffield where the majority of players will live. It's also at the 'right end of Sheffield' and well away from the stench and disease not far away at the shit-tip that is Hillsborough.
Spent many a happy day on that derelict site (Norton, not Hillsborough). Last time I was on it though was about ten of us careering about on a nicked Honda monkey bike (nowt to do wi' me, judge).
I even recall it being an active RAF base with a fighter jet parked at the main gate.

In terms of value for money, I think it would be far and away the best investment the club has made in the last two seasons, accepting of course, that that’s a pretty low bar.![]()
There were two planes acting as gate guardians one a Spitfire Mk 24 with a Griffon engine now at the RAF museum in Hendon the jet was a De Havilland Vampire which went to the scrapyard after Norton closed.
'this shit' meaning the tactic that took us from the bottom of League One to top 6 in the Premier League in 3 and a half years you mean?Good to see the kids did not play this shit the other night.
They had attacking intent for a start.

Is this available as a podcast? Got to have it playing behind other things on my phone whilst driving.
The state of decay gradually got worse and parts of it got used by gangs of lads on off road trials bikes. It was then taken over as a driver training centre in the 1970's -80's where you could pay to practice driving your car or bike around those huts on their fairly narrow road ways and much wide runways. Ideal if you were learning to drive and needed some off road practice first, although being run legally you did need to show all your documents (licence, insurance, tax etc.) when you paid to use the facility.

Im surprised you dont know who Wit isIt's a difficult one for Phipps and Wit (sounds like a t.v show that), they both want to come across as Blades while defending their mate and taking shots at their opposites. (I'd say Wit is guilty of this more than Jim).
Wit seems to be something of an unofficial mouthpiece/lapdog for CW while Jim worked for HRH (not sure if he still does). I know more about Jim Phipps than I do "Wit", who is he, is he noting more than a mate of CW who drip feeds info out as and when required or is there something more to this person?
If I had to take a stance on either I'd say I'm leaning more towards Jim and HRH, Jim at least posts with reasoning and substance behind him. Wit just pipes up, say's a sentence then fucks off until required to defend his mate again. Wit commented on a comment I made on Twitter, saying something along the lines of CW brought in over 300m to the club in response to me saying has CW not been backed sufficiently? I responded but never got anything back from him, at least Jim has an actual conversation with people, explains his reasoning etc..
I might have asked this on her before, but can anyone else remember a plane/jet being in someone's garden down the lane somewhere there?

Wit is indeed a good mate of Wilders from many years ago and had links to the BBC
I dont do twitter so dont know what hes been saying but he will obviously stick up for his mate and probably does have a little inside knowledge as to what has gone off as does Jim Phipps who although no longer works for the Prince probably still talks to him on Blades / other matters. I thought Jim did a lot of good whilst he was here especially liasing with the fans and nothing seemed too much trouble for him if he could help you out
With the maritime links I know what I was expecting you to look like but was let down fucking terribly.

Unless a model plane, must have been a bloody big garden.I might have asked this on her before, but can anyone else remember a plane/jet being in someone's garden down the lane somewhere there?
Yes mate.
Inside those links I have posted, someone has stuck a picture up of the actual field where the jet came down
I wasn't born then. I just remember Norton Aerodrome being open. Then it was shut and abandoned to us hooligans. The only other notable was one of the girls from our school (Gleadless Valley) was victim to a serious sexual assault on there in the seventies. Of course, back then, loads was done to protect her dignity and identity (i.e. nowt, not even by our school) and apparently our ever efficient police force (chasing the Ripper at that time, so, y'know, 'them prossies asked for it') were fantastically efficient protective, understanding, believing and embracing about her horrendous ordeal (i.e. they fucking weren't)
Not sure even the named, known attacker was brought up in front of the beak either.
Often wonder what her long term effects were following that. Poor lass.

Stranger things have happened, there is a English Electric Lightening jet fighter sat in a field between Skeggy and Ingoldmells fuck knows how it got there or who owns it, no airfield for miles apart from Skeggy aero clubs grass field only thing near it is caravans and a miniature railway.I really don't know, I would've been very young and have always had a poor memory anyway.
I could be getting confused with the planes that were, as said earlier, were at the entrance, but I'm sure in my head it was a garden![]()

Thats where I practiced driving when I learnt to drive. My Dad would take me up there it was something like £5 for 45 minutes (1988 I think felt like a lot of money back then) you can still see all the practice roads and roundabouts on the satellite images on google maps.

As for knowing what has gone off I'd probably say he has the full story from CW's viewpoint but won't splash it all over Twitter.
Well said!Good. We don't need to know. I would hate that anything contentious emerges which makes either side look like cunts to the supportership.
Wilder has gone and has fond memories and a good reputation amongst the fans. He has earned that and we are grateful.
HRH is 'the way ahead' and we should support his vision. Right now, we are upside down in a bucket of fresh, liquefied shit. We can blame any number of people for this, but probably good to stop that now.
The way ahead is 'that way' (points)
Let's resign ourselves to relegation, get used to Championship football and make next season count
