To be honest that's why I enjoy it so much. I'm never interested in watching games like Liverpool V City or anything, if they're on and I'm not doing anything then why not but the games that can have shock results interest me more. Better yet some lower league football, they really don't put enough of it on telly.

That may be so, but it seems to me that the margin of winning has increased. Plenty of games look easy and one-sided recently.

Agree on that, the fixturepile may have some to do aswell, 2-0 down maybe focus are on the next match in 3 days rather than put all effort in to get a draw. Not easy to explain how we can be so good beating Chelsea and look like a different team a few days later at Leicester. Strange times and some strange games after re-start.

This is why it's so weird when people complain so much about patches of bad form or inconsistency.

We're in the Premier League, one of the best divisions in the world if not the best. We should probably get used to it.

Outside of being the next Liverpool or Man City this is pretty much what it's like, and that's true even for a team gunning for 5-8th place. We're close to the ceiling of what is realistically achievable. Even Man U, with their gazillions, don't have form fantastically superior to ours.

Knowing our management team and the journey we've come on the past few years it's hard to rule out even greater heights, as strange as that seems, so I don't, but realistically I don't expect much more than what they've already given.

Yeah, the stats seem to back this.
That's why unfair or piss-poor VAR decisions matter so much.
At least our last two games are against other mid-table nonentities - VAR won't go looking for reasons to favour our opposition. It'll just be 11-v-11 not 11-v-15

I don't think you can compare us to sides that were promoted 20 years ago, the money and the gap between the Premier League and the Championship has been exponential since then. I think we can only be compared to Wolves from last season and they have spent far and away more than us to get where they are.

Even without my red and white tinted goggles on, our achievement, even if we finish 10th, is way better than any of the teams in that article.
