Have you ever seen one of knowsnowt posts before?Without wanting to rake over old coals I think "honest" may be pushing it a bit
Kevin McCabe has been added to that particular twat list in my house, can't stand the bloke.I'm not a religious man, but I say a little prayer every day for Mike Mcdonald, Charles Green and Terry Robinson to step on an upturned plug or fall down the stairs.

The mark of his character was when he had a banner made thanking himself, which he then hung on the side of the hotel.
The same hotel he made the club pay for and then eventually buy back from him after closing it and making all the staff redundant.
But ya know, there's no bigger blade than him Seth.

I wonder how well the Prince knows the history of the club and whether he realises he has a great opportunity to cement himself as the club's best ever owner. Who does he have to beat? Is there another club with such a poor record of owners?I'm not a religious man, but I say a little prayer every day for Mike Mcdonald, Charles Green and Terry Robinson to step on an upturned plug or fall down the stairs.

His next move is an important one. If he has McCabitus we'll go through 10 crap managers, but we desperately need him to be lucky first time. I say lucky because I'm under no illusion how difficult it is to find the right manager. Jokanovic is the only name suggested so far that excites me - is that realistic? It would at least back up the ambitious talk.
At the same time, criticism when it doesn't work out can be unfair. It's a bit of a standing joke that McCabe couldn't see a good manager if one punched him in the face, but Adkins looked good on paper, Clough was a gnat's away from working out, no one has a crystal ball. I would be delighted with Jakonovic, but trying not to get too set on it.It's a compelling question isn't it? Prince Abdullah's background in the game apparently goes back 35 years, and I do get the impression that where he might have blindspots with regard to matters on the field, then he's more willing to surround himself with people who know the game. McCabe never really did that and what his cronies knew about football could be written on a postage stamp.
I think that at this time it's probably Jokanovic or bust, because like you, I just don't see another stand-out name filling that role.
I've said plenty on here about how gut-wrenching it is for me not having Wilder at the helm anymore but at the same time, I really see no reason to doubt Prince Abdullah either. He's tried to provide the resources to make us competitive at least, it's just not worked out as hoped. He was also well within his rights to raise concerns around recruitment and his critique of how Wilder conducted himself in the media at times was fair.
All in all, the owner has given a fairly good account of himself thus far, it's just a case of waiting to see if his plans bear fruit.
Did you get your crystal ball off Wish?Bottom line he is basically skint. We have already borrowed against the parachute payments at 10% interest to fund the Prince buying out all McCabes interests in SUFC Ltd. That means players will be sold this summer so Egan, Berge and Brewster will all go leaving the new coach with a bunch of disaffected Wilder troops with no recollection of how to win football matches. League one beckons rather than a premium return mark my words, this is a gargantuan fluke up waiting to happen.
