I’ll be more than happy to be wrong on this.
My view stems from one specific “flaw” I see. Repeatedly unfortunately.
Give Norwood time on the ball and he can and often is devastating.
On top of which, his dead ball delivery is impressive.
That said, press him and his propensity to be both less effective and, even worse, turning over possession in dangerous areas of the pitch is both concerning and frustrating.
With the quality we will be up against in the PL, these ricks will rarely go unpunished. It’s an unrelenting division.
Ultimately I can see Wilder dropping the Coutts / Norwood deep lying quarter back role for a more defensive minded player. I believe you mentioned Obi-Mikel recently and while I’m not 100% sure of this individual, I believe your thinking is along the right lines. I wouldn’t dismiss OM btw if Wilder believes he would “fit” in terms of character (which is where my doubt stems rather than the ability to do the job).
