thought it was an awesome performance from everybody.

Davis threw his body in way of the ball a number of occasions. Morgs didn't let no one down when he came on (does he ever?) and he gave tevez what should have been given to him earlier on.

though the tongey/monty partnership was brilliant today and tongey really impressed me, especially in the second half.

Jagielka....absolutely outstanding! can't describe it any other way.

ref was crap. the best thing he did was book tevez for diving.

Great performance

Who said we havent got goals in us :p

Davis stood out for me got in the way of everything,Jags good again
partnership worked well in midfield

I have a go at tonge when ever i can but today he had a good game i even saw him made a few decent challenges :)

Rather have the points than the games in hand!

I agree totally, there was loads of challenges that didnt look much that you would think would go our way but then suddenly decided to give it their way. But I have to congratulate him for booking Tevez, any other ref would have given the penalty.

that challenge on nade should have been at least a booking!!

Anyone else guna praise the performance except me n ross?

Stop moaning bout the ref!

I was thinking I'd forgotten something and indeed I have...

An absolutely SUPERB performance!! That's an example of true teamwork, Tonge got forward and really fought and made some great tackles too. Geary never gives less than 100% and showed it once again. Claude had a pretty good game too, not sure why he came off in the 2nd half though, perhaps a knock or something to do with fitness?

There was no MOTM in particular as EVERYBODY played their part, and well done to each and every one of them. If Charlton lose tomorrow, anything we get at ManU on Tuesday can only be a bonus.

On the 14th April last year we were coming back from Cardiff all celebrating as less than 24 hours later we were promoted. This year we are bouncing back to ensure we are staying up. Will this date serve as another red letter day some time in the future?

when i got in i watched sky sports new.

Curbishley was on first and he said he thinks they were hard done by and we should have had a player sent off....? what

Warnock said he took Davis off because he was tired and didn't want to risk him any further for the vital run in towards end of season.

thought he might have brought shelton on today to when we was comfortable.

Just as I thought, he didnt look like he'd picked up any injuries and was solid, but a good tactic there by Warnock to bring in rock solid Morgan to freshen up the defence.

Everything about todays performance was quality.

Jags, Tonge and CKR were the stand outs. 3 magic goals. So much for everyone saying we were fecked for goals now Hulse is out.

The 1st half was probably the best I've seen this season. We passed the ball oh so well. CKR was beating players for fun on the left, defence looked solid and Nade was a menace to Ferdinand and Collins. 2nd half was a solid performance. Got battered in the 1st 15 minutes of it untill Quinny came on where we looked more in control with the extra man in midfield.

Ha to the twat who stands behind me for absoultey slating Stead the whole game and slating Warnock for taking Nade off. Wanker!

I think he means Claude should have been sent off for the 2 footed tackle on Reo-Coker in the 1st half, it would have been pretty bad if he'd caught him instead of the ball.

What a fantastic team performance.
Every player did what they needed to do.
The Ref tried to spoil it by being a twat at times and Ferdinand should have walked (But that would have changed the game from what we did play like so can't really complain too much about it.
Nade and Stead looked dangerous (and very skillful) on every attack.
The WH defenders took to kicking Nade the instant he got the ball cos they were cacking it that he'd show them up even more.
Other than a few small (and not major) lapses in defence we looked solid and Davis seems to have leared the bang it and then ask questions part of defending, which is nice.
Good game, Good game!!!! :D

Thank God for Sensi.
Sensi by name and Sensi(ble) by nature. A well-reasoned comment on the game. Have some rep.

oh btw sensi, you remember when we were talking about sky +'in the next match in the pub just to try and see some of us?

Well ya know that program where you can pick the match you want to see the highlights on (football first i think it is)...there was roughly a five second cameo of you and your dad...you singing your heart out!

it'll be up soon enough :)

I thought the whole team was outstanding and a lot of the players answered their critics (Davis, Tonge, Stead...) although one person inparticular stood out - Neil Warnock. He's taken a load of stick over the past few weeks about team selection, lack of motivation and effort from the team, formation and tactics, but Saturday when it really mattered he sent a team out fired up and ready to do the job in style! Well done that man. Hopefully he can take that into the last few games and see us to safety.

Curbishley on MOTD after they won at Wigan - "We didn't turn up at Sheffield United."
Yes you did Alan. And you got tonked three - nil. Surely you must remember it, you aren't that forgetful are you?
