Actually he hasn't played OVER 250 games, also he's only played for shit teams and finally he hasn't got 5 mins under his belt for us. You claim to be a keeper. If that is true then you know a keeper dosen't just have a telepathic and necessary understanding with his backline overnight.

I'd rather we played Amissah.

My initial thoughts were that some comments of that nature have been made. Wes seems like a fairly decent and mild-mannered fella (granted I've only seen a few interviews of him) so to piss him off to that extent has to indicate something bad. It could be nowt, of course.

The incident itself isn't as bad as it looks either. Bit of grabbing and then a tumble.

He's played 277 games. More than a third of those he kept a clean sheet.

You appear to think a goalkeeper playing well for a shit team is a negative. Why would that be? More saved. More work. More action. Still played over a hundred games at this level.

Finally a good point, but then ruin it. Apparently the guy who hasn't played with our defence is worse than the young guy who has played with our defence once. But has only played one senior game in his entire life.

As I've said, I think Davies is a better TECHNICAL keeper. It doesn't mean he'll perform worse than Wes. He's technically better at being a goalkeeper. You know, technical skills.

And yes, you're right. abilities do wain, but keepers less so. Much of it is mental. And he played for Barnsley and Stoke in the Championship.

Look, Wes has been brilliant for us, and the fact he's kept his place throughout would suggest to me that no one in training is bowling anyone over. He's not been great this season but he's been reliable. That is what I want to see from a keeper. Reliability.
