I get the impression he might want to stay, but his club have a different take on the situation. If Stevie G takes the job, there will be a lot of transfer in/out, and as Stretch says, WF will have a decent amount of championship suitors, who can & will pay more than us.
You're more than likely right. But do you think the package would be more expensive that Blackman if we were to go after him?
Having thought about JB, unless something big happens regarding our funding, I suspect he's only a viable loan option for us.
I'm not party to any special info, but I suspect we can go to £10k, possibly £12k a week on contracts at the moment, where as if either JB or WF went to the open market in the championship or prem, I bet they'd be looking at £20k basic, possibly more. I wouldn't be surprised if he ended up at Wednesday, with them shipping out a forward/s as part of the deal. I've mentioned before on here, i'd love JB back between the sticks next season, but I think he's made a good impression this season, and I can see him being bought by the likes of Crystal Palace or West Ham as a No. 2 to play in the cup games, with an eye to the future or by West Brom as part of a rebuild. If you look at those clubs and see the age of their keepers, they're between 31 & 38!
