How long into the game will we hear this witty nugget echoing across the Kop? Guess the minute. Winner gets a virtual pat on the back.

I'm going to go for the 4th.
Naahh, not having that. All you need to do is start the chant yourself.
Reminds me of when a bloke used to bet on whether there would be a streaker at major sporting events.
He won every time until the bookies found out it was him doing the streaking.

Can’t feyt, Stand in someone else’s seat……

I've got a sneaky suspicion that now nobody has the excuse of "I paid on the day and I've thrown my ticket in the bin" the stewards will be there on mass checking people's season tickets if they're standing up. Ejections and written warnings would then follow.

It was sung at WBA away and if you didn’t know the context (as the home fans and stewards wouldn’t), it sounded fucking ridiculous. A load of people standing in neat orderly rows in a confined section singing about how they’ll stand where they want 🤣🤣🤣

A footnote to this story is that after years of intense therapy and after discovering Meadowhall I'm now a reformed character.

Aye
Or Vinnie Jones regular punts on the timing of some useless tosser ‘mishitting’ a simple cross field pass into the stand 🤔

To be fair at West Brom it was “we’re not sitting down” rather than “we’ll stand where we want” as I recall

Yeah, they're not taking a hit financially without a reason, I predict steward/Fan chaos at some point today..

Probably 5 mins before kick off.

Sing when we’re standing
United only sing when we’re standing.

Hate clear emergency exits
United hate clear emergency exits

I don't think the club have said they are doing anything extra to stop the overcrowding in that area . So I don't think there'd be any chaos.

The reasonable thing to do is to allow fans to stand if they occupy the space they paid for and stewards to direct anyone standing in a gang way to their allotted space.

Any chance good old common sense and compromise will prevail?

Hope you're right mate..

I thought it was a plan to stop people standing together in seats that weren't theirs.

Yes, that is the thing that needs sorting. I don't know if they plan to do something today though.
I would imagine they'll be able to see if the ones causing the issue are ST or ticket buyers today. Then come up with a plan??

Agree...seems a simple solution.
However maybe the amount of people being squashed into a smaller area is more difficult to manage.
I believe that SUFC don't mind fans standing up most of the time....it just can't be all the time.

I'm now picturing musical chairs, the stewards wait for those at the back of the Kop to sit down, then those with unallocated seats are instantly identified
Pulled out, have their ticket checked and asked to return to their seat with a warning of ejection. Problem should be quickly solved.

🎶Bramall lane upper your having a laugh, Bramall lane upper your having a laugh🎶

🎶what’s your thoughts on a dedicated singing section……….Sheffield councils gunna close there lane again🎶
To the tune of your gunna get your head kicked in

The majority of modern Blades fans seem content to sit down and if that's their thing that's fine by me. I just hope the people with clout realise it's our club too and make sensible provision for those who are either old school Blades or just less able to sit for long periods in cramped surroundings.
