We're a selling club. Worst case scenario?

But seriously though, this is what a fire sale would look like IMO. Houston_Blade is probably right, if/when we're this desperate, Onē is probably gone too.

If we're going nowhere in the short-medium term, we need to be thinking about selling and maximising every current asset

While keeping enough to be comfortable this season - but that will vary greatly depending on any points deduction

If Peck or Seriki were ever going to be sold we should have shifted them early in the window and brought in a couple of decent replacements for around £5/6m each, not wait till now when it's too late to do that and we're left with loans to make up the numbers, Mehmeti would've been ok maybe Piroe, now whu etc

Seriki is one who'd have to be sold now to maximise the fee

I'd have done that and got Kesler-Hayden on loan if possible, but I doubt he'd come here now

If we could get 4-5m for Tanganga I'd do it and just keep McGuinness

Try and get Woolfenden loan to permanent regardless

Burrows could be sold now, and we could keep RND

Peck probably needs to stay for at least half a season. Bit too risky to lose him now if we're to get a deduction

Selling players will help cover the losses and fund incoming transfers (l know, l know) not fund any payments arising from legal matters.

That’s is the owners don’t use it to repay monies they’ve already put into BLL/SUFCL!

Do we really think our owners are so stupid that they make some signings, put a significant bid in for Souttar and then do a fire sale? I’m completely unconvinced by them as our custodians but I’d be really surprised if they are that stupid.

We've sold enough. The buck stops now with our owners. It's time to back manager.
Give him some cash to invest ....

Has there ever been a time when we weren't a selling club?

We're not alone in that respect as the majority of clubs depend on sales to exist from day to day.
Attempting to keep ominous warnings at bay must be a job in itself so expectations should always be grounded.
Like any Blade I've witnessed good teams built then dismantled, so very little surprises or disappoints me.
This is, of course, not restricted to United. Countless clubs follow similar patterns but it doesn't mean that
cynicism doesn't become a given for supporters all over this land.
