Get the rope out folks or have some faith in the rest of your players and Manager. And by that I mean ALL your/our players that CW and AK have faith in.
We and they do have a plan B to Z you know.

You're right, after all we've got; Stearman, Hanson, Lavery, Donaldson, Clarke, Sharp, Freeman. UTB

And what a season they gave us last and a great start to this one. I have faith in CW and his coaching and playing staff.Perhaps you also like the rest or do you have no faith in them?

Yes, I do to, just could do with a bit of good news on one or two of our forwards this week.

Losing the spine - Moore-Stearman-Coutts -Sharp would be a bummer though ,included in that is probably the first 3 captains too. Imagine the bleating from those cunts if they lost Westwood-Lees-Bannan-Hooper.

We missed Sharp big time at the weekend especially his Captaincy. We Have managed and done well without Moore and Stearman.

Finally someone sees the value in McCabe!

I was looking forward to demolishing them with our first team giving them a lesson in a few things. Now I fear the worst. I have faith in Wilder and I know they will give it their all but will our second string be enough?

Of course it will be good enough. It aint Barca you know. Boring Wendy will get moshed by our battling Blades as they are really underestimating us. We have good players to come in. We may need to get our midfield players into and around the box following crosses. Do this and we will be fine.

Their fans may underestimate us, but the players and manager won't. Carlos isn't that daft.

We need to be clinical (seem to have said this a fair bit this season) and I think if we can get 2 of Clarke/ Sharp/ Donaldson fit enough to do 60 mins we should be OK especially if Ched has recovered. Even one of the three will be a big improvement in terms of physicality.

Coutts could be a big loss, not because Lundstram can't do a job, but because Coutts is a fantastic asset in a fabulous trio.

We need the Wingbacks on their game. Too many games so far this season they have not looked to get in behind enough. Freeman hasn't been on it this season, but i wouldn't bring Baldock in for this game, unless Freeman is injured

I think the 3-5-2 might have to be tweaked, not to match Wednesday, but to slot the players in that we need.

Kieran Lee is their pivotal player. Apparently if he doesn't play then they play crap.

In reality and professional terms Sunday's game is about 3 points.

We visit a team that sits below us in the league by 2 points.

We have a number of injuries but we have a very strong squad, though we may be short of recognised strikers if we wish to play our usual 2 up top.

Our opponents like teams to go at them and they play it tight and counter on the break, even in home games.

There are various ways to 'skin a cat' and I for one will be more comfortable if we don't take the game to the opposition in our usual style.

Wilder and Knill will find a way. I know how I would play it but what does that matter?!:p

Worst case scenario we will be 1 point behind the opposition come Sunday night. In professional terms we will still be well placed in the league and a lot to build on unless we get, dare I say ' massacred'!

I was there that Boxing Day and we were riding high, they were struggling and we were a little over confident. No way we would go into Sunday's game in that frame of mind even if we had everybody available.

I'm a snort beast, and I agree that taking the game to Wednesday would be a mistake.

The Owls have beaten teams with better players than themselves who've allowed them to knock it around.

People say cautious Carlos, and I've criticized him myself on many occasions, but it is perfectly true that opponents won't allow Wednesday to play now as they did in his first season.

The teams who do well at Hillsborough are the frustrators. Ipswich, Reading and Burton all got positive results. Newcastle, Norwich and Villa, teams who believed that they could play their normal game and beat Wednesday, all lost.

Didn't you arrive pretending to be a Blade?

It's not though, is it?

It is about pride, history and rubbing their noses in it.

We have to crawl over broken glass to win, even if the EFL decided it was a 'specially selected no points game'.

It is far far more than just another 3 points.

Didn't you arrive pretending to be a Blade?

No, but it doesn't really matter anyway. A biased opinion isn't worth anything. Whether my hooves are cloven or not is irrelevant.

I'm interested in how Tufty will approach this game. I like his style at the Lane, but I think away from home it will need tinkering with in general if the Blades are to get the points they deserve.

In the case of Wednesday, I'd say the reverse is true. For instance, I'd play 3-5-2 at home on Sunday, but Blades fans can sleep easy because Carlos will never dare do it.

Bloody hell you lot camped behind the sofa of S24SU? any more of you sign up and it will be Pork talk light version, however one of the things I love about S24SU is how we have welcomed fans from all clubs for reasonable and considered debate.

In terms of how will CW and AK approach this game I would imagine it will be the same as we approach every game since he took over, they will be aware of what you are capable of you have a very good squad, so doubt he will underestimate that, however he will want us to play a high pressing game, I would think I might go for a more combative style to frustrate and annoy as you rightly say, when teams disrupt your flow you are less effective, hopefully will be a good game regardless :)
