Quite right. I can assure you the trial will not be brought forward.

I can't see us getting anything for Ched.

I think his contract is up at the end of this season and as he does not yet have a date for his trial, we are probably looking towards the end of this season for it to take place. Obviously no-one will sign him whilst his trial is pending and, even if he gets off, it is then likely he will be able to go on a free (though we will obviously then get his wages off our books).

If his weekly wage becomes 12k and he starts playing in December we need an extra 1692 fans on the Kop every game (13 to go) to pay his wages. That's an increase of 10% from yesterday's game.

As I said above this will probably be worth it if Beattie's signing is what it will take to get us promoted. But it's an expensive gamble, similar to what we've seen the last few years.

I've heard a bit about the Madine situation from my trusted ITK sources, and there is a lot more going off behind the scene's with that lad than meets the eye. Can't really say too much about what i've been told, but he is in a lot of bother at the minute in more ways than one.
