Would it be at all possible for Wembley to organise a section for those who would prefer to stand and another for those who would prefer/need to sit?

I understand that some people like to sit during games (either older people, or the less frequent attenders generally) but I for one love standing and singing at away games. I also think this would make for a better atmosphere as all the 'singers' could be collected together. Is there a way around this? or are we just stuck where we're sat forced to sit by the kids and older generation sat behind us?

Totally sensible suggestion blader but the problem being it's illegal to stand so they couldn't be seen to be promoting it.

Well it's interesting, because at man city Sunderland the other week, all sets of fans stood on the bottom tier. Nothing they can do about that. Just a bit frustrating having to sit for 90 minutes during what should be an amazing day out!

I think the ones expecting to stand for most of the game should be buying tickets near the front.

I'm hoping we are standing for the whole match cos if we are then it's a sure sign we are on top and creating lots of chances.

Last time I was at wembley I was stood for most of the game. Unlike our Kop which is quite steep, behind the goal at wembley is too flat to get any atmosphere when seated.

So stand for the entire game like Sunderland did

I'm not as good at standing as I used to be, so I make sure I sit right up till kick off then sit down for half time. I hate it when somebody taps you on the shoulder and asks you to sit.
What if you are blocking the view of a child who is sitting behind you?

When I first started going I used to have to cling to the metal railings on top of the wall at the front of the John Street terracing cos I would not have seen a thing otherwise. When it was particularly crowded I would often be hoisted onto my Dad's or Grandad's shoulders but if neither were there (my Gran always used tot go to the Lane and took us if the big menfolk couldn't) I recall being lifted on the shoulders of some random bloke that offered - that was the generosity of some folk in those days - so the nippers could see properly.

I know it's not an answer - you just provoked a memory, that's all

Now then, now then. Surely Jimmy wasn't Blade was he?

Dont' think so Greccers - Pretty sure he was facing the other way so I couldn't be certain of what he/they looked like.

Anyroad - I was totally focused on the magic on the pitch and I am pretty sure that if anything untoward was in the offing my Gran would have floored them. She was a terrific lady and as gentle as the come but she would not take any shit like that.

Good luck with that - wrote to the FA to ask why blades were made to sit down but every club I see who plays there gets to stand.

They said that it was down to numbers, too many people to make sit down means that they don't bother trying!

Last time I was at Wembley for the Huddersfield final I was threatened with getting ejected for standing too much by some jobsworth.

We were on the back row for crying out loud.
