Aldershot was a great away trip in div 4 ,we drew I think ,one end is like Millhouses park with netting up and the train track runs down the side of the ground. A night in soho is why it was memorable to an 18 year old lad though

Aldershot works for me - another short trip

You sound like me in 1979, when I was working in Sevenoaks and was able to make the short trip across for the FA Cup replay on a weekday evening, and which we duly lost 1-0.

I remember that supporters could still swap ends at half time by walking along the side of the ground and my move was halted temporarily by a metal grille they pulled across the walkway to allow the players back out onto the pitch, without mixing with riff-raff like me

Actually, when I look back, I've wasted a lot of my life on that kind of futile football following......I'm sure I'll learn....
