I'll tek a 1-0 win any day of the week.
Anything over that is just a Brucie bonus.

Concern is their new loan signings who have added a bit of pace out wide and, therefore, confidence to their set up
Fletcher is allus a threat as he is a decent player.

I won't be watching it, can't stand these games, but saying that we are miles better than them and will beat them convincingly 1.3 imo. Yes they will raise their game for THEIR cup final but we will be too much for them to handle .

I can’t see this being like the last 2 at our place. Bruce won’t have them with 10 behind the ball for 90 min. Which should play into our hands, because football ability wise we will play them off the park

Hate these games, we could be the best team in the league and the Pigs could be a non-league team and I'd still not enjoy the game, ok maybe a slight exaggeration but you know what I mean.

We all want to finally smash them and Prestman's not around to save 'em, the gaffer really wants that however my fear is that in smashing them the club thinks the jobs done and we then fall away.

A big win could be a negative?
I thought that we finally smashed them last season GB...as well as outplayed and embarrassed them.

Errr, No
We followed up the win at their place last year with a win over Wolves, and hardly anybody beat them last year

Personally I am not nervous about it at all.

We should be confident of getting a result. I know Chris, Alan and the team will be. How do I know this?

We a playing good football, scoring goals , defending well and have 23 points from our last 10 games.

It is up to the pigs to match us if they want anything from the game.

We have proved we are a match for anyone in this division. Bring it on piggy bastards.

March 4th is my birthday. Could be amazing or could be depressing. Anything can happen in a derby but I just feel Wilder will have the attitude and the team selection right. Feels like when Bassett was boss. You knew that whatever happened the boys would give everything and that’s all you can ask for.

I think this will be an awkward game, I sat and watched them v Swansea yesterday morning, and even though it pains me to say it, they played well and Swansea couldn't handle them.
I hope this new manager curse thing isn't about to happen, cos we're that much better than them, I'd hate us to blow this.
I watched the 8 minute highlights on Swanstv just to see what the pigs were on about now they're worldbeaters, and Swansea were poor on the goals..Fletcher looked offside...plenty of shots way over the bar from distance.
If we can go to Villa and be by far the better team, and then WBA...and again under pressure from everyone else winning and get a deserved win,I'm not worried about going there, although i know in a Derby anything can happen on the day.

Selling quite slowly by all accounts. I know we've not a lot to play for, prices are high.
You never know, dropped points by them might just be what stops them going up. Get your tickets bought and let's show the country who Sheffield's biggest club are! WAWAW!!

More delusion from Rust Talk.

I thought the country saw who was Sheffield's biggest club at the derby at theirs last season.

Must have slipped their mind how un4-2ate.

Going to West Brom who'd won two on the bounce , smart money promotion favourites was a much tougher ask. We flourished with a makeshift defence. Pigs will lose at Brentford , have less recovery time and fragile confidence. We have returning players and great team spirit and resilience. We can and should do this.
They got hammered AT Brentford. They play them at home tomorrow.

I’m worried they’ll be that determined to “derail” our promotion push there’ll be some very nasty tackles flying in.

They can’t match us by fair means and if they can take out one or two of our players for a few games they won’t hesitate.
It's literally the only thing they could claim this season

But the pigs are unbeaten under Bruce and in their last six games, Wigan 1-0, Ipswich 1-0, Reading 0-0, Millwall 0-0, Rotherham 2-2 and Swansea 3-1. Hmmm 5 teams out of the bottom six and Swansea who gifted them 2 goals to add to the offside effort. They were very very lucky to survive at Rotherham who battered them from what I've heard. Will it give them confidence to venture into our half or is it another damage limitation exercise from the pigs ? You can bet your last quid they will do us one way or another, even when we batter them we only win by the odd goal or two when it should be by five.

I hate these matches.

No predictions from me, I'll be all over the games this weekend as I'm away with work but I'll be watching this with a sickening feeling.

The sad thing is for them the season is over in 7 days. Won’t go up won’t go down
This is their cup final so I expect Bruce to have them fired up.
But, with the additions we’ve made we can break them down if they play as at BDTBL, and if they are stoked and fancy having a go it could be a great opportunity to real fuck them up.
Can’t enjoy it till we’re 3-0 up in the 81st...... hang on a fuckin minute........

don't even go there. It was bad enough at 3-0 up under Blackwell , and we won that one

It’s good if they go into it positive. The pressure is on them as the home side. Bruce will, I expect, have them go for the win. If they set up defensively we can be positive, but cautious at the same time and look for a point. That will only unsettle the natives who now see him as a master stroke by Chancer. This could play into our hands. I’d be shocked if they outplayed us for 90 mins !

That said, the win at West Brom has taken some pressure off this game (for me at least) it’s just unfortunate we are the only team in the top 4 who have a proper derby to navigate amongst our fixtures. I’d sooner play Norwich again ! Irrespective of where the pigs are in the league. Think back to 1991 (well they go on about Boxing Day).

It’s a totally unpredictable game and the outcome will not define our season. I am confident we will maintain focus if we win it and bounce back if we lose it.

Is this Wednesday's kit designer??Screenshot_20190225-192824_upday.jpg

NOT quite a kidney punch, but hey.

Lets not underestimate them they have some good players in FF, Reach, Westwood and we saw last season what Joao can do if he's in the mood, they also have a couple of loans that seemed to do the business last Saturday.
Brucie will certainly have them fired up.
They will like nothing better than putting a dent in our Automatic promotion hopes.

They have got a good side if you look at it and like most championship teams can beat anyone on their day ,we've struggled against them at our place in the last two games as they have put weaker sides out and come looking not to get battered and been overjoyed with a nil nil win

I think this will be a tight game we could easily lose but looking at their first eleven it's a good team at this level and any one can beat anyone

I am as confident as you can be going into a derby. The new manager effect has hardly kick started them after dropping loads of points against lower teams.

One good half (they lost the other) doesn't scare me. We pound these.

What I know is that we will turn up and we will perform. There is no way Wilder and the boys will want to pass up a chance to humiliate this lot again, especially after letting them off the hook twice at our place.

Bruce may well have them fired up but what on Earth do you think Wilder will be doing to our boys? 8 days without a game, more time for training, conditioning, strategising and motivating. We will be like a pack of Rottweilers who haven't been fed for a week and then set lose in a butcher's shop. They, on the other hand, still have a much improved Brentford to contend with first and anything could happen in that match, from a confidence inducing win to a soul sucking hammering.

Of course the result could go either way but after seeing us perform recently, I honestly don't see them stopping us. We are a machine!

Always going to be a tough game

The favourites are hardly ever allowed to play decent football, the underdogs work their bollocks off to stop them

We've been favourites and underdogs before and always fared better as the underdog

In a dream world we win 4-0 with a Billy hat trick and one from Madine . In reality I will take ANY win even a lucky one !
