We had two shots all game. One of them was from the halfway line and went out for a throw in.
They also both came in the first half. So we went in losing 1-0 at HT and came out for the 2nd half and didn't have a single shot at goal, nada.

I'm sorry but these players are not as pathetic as they are constantly showing. Something has got to change and all that can be now is the management team. Get it done this weekend.

Listened on 5 live, and they were very damning.

Not one shot on goal. Not one.

I was prepared for a loss today, but this is embarrassing, we are playing each game like we're a League One team in the third round of the cup.
A League One club would give Premier League clubs more problems, they'd work on the basis that they are getting a free hit.
We've done it ourselves as a League One club on many occasions.

We've gone out of one cup to a League One team already, and if we get a club of that stature in the FA Cup we'll go out to them as well because there has never been a more clueless set of twats in the history of football as this shower.

Playing an elite team at their place with a scratch squad.

They bring on Trossard, we bring on Fleck.

Some of our fans need to adjust their expectations.

6/10 games against teams in Europe, of the remaining 4, 2 were away, 1 we drew and 1 we lost.
And you think we will draw beat Wolves next week 😂 dream on

i think your right this set of players are not busting a gut for hecky and mcall somethings not right been obvious for weeks now and thats why theyve got to go im 50/50 with wilder can see both sides of the argument cant see anybody keeping us up anyway

First half ok in parts against a decent side, switched off for their goal

Second half as bad as I’ve seen since Adkins
No fight
The pattern of the Man U, Newcastle and Arsenal games are the worry for me. Play ok for 20/25 mins then give a soft goal away. I’d argue that those teams just toyed with us until they fancied scoring but that’s probably making Man U sound better than they were. It’s like teams know that if we have the ball then they can counter and score pretty much at will.

Add to that 60 mins with zero ball retention and in 2 of those games we gave up.

The Man U match was a perfect example of that, we looked the better team and well in the game.

Fuck knows what Hecky said at half time cause we came out like a rabbit in the headlights. It must’ve been one of the worst half time talks of all time.
McBurnie went off is what happened against Man U. Literally everything we did first half against Man U went through McBurnie. As soon as he went off, we looked like the team that played Newcastle (when he was suspended).

We were never going to win today, but there were clear areas that we should (and must) work on and do better in.
They scored two great goals (both slight errors from Trusty but still very good goals) through the middle of our defence where our three main centre backs are missing through injury.

However, two goals were simple corners not being cleared and a needless penalty.

When we had any set piece (corner or free kick) it was an easy catch for the keeper or a nothing ball in. When we’d had zero touches in their box and got a throw in within range for Robinson, he didn’t launch it.

Those things should be worked on in training and improved. It’s hard to create chances and completely stop a team as good arsenal in open play at their own ground. But we need to be so much better in set piece situations at both ends to stay in games and pose some sort of threat. Then at least it keeps it being a contest for longer. I’d always expect this Arsenal to win that contest against our current side.
Today was never a contest though at any time, and that’s what’s not good enough.

Talking of corners…our kicks were good but were easily caught unchallenged by their keeper.
Theirs went into a similar area but caused mass panic as a flapping Fods was constantly blocked off.
Basic set-play stuff really.
Billy wouldn’t have let it be that easy.

Exactly. We were up against a much better side. But we still should have done much better ourselves; and coaching / training / preparation needs to be worked on as part of this.

I'm sorry, but that performance was unacceptable, no matter what my expectations were (and yes, I did go depite expecting us to lose).
