The reality of the situation is clear to see. Hecky is a nice bloke but he and his coaches are tactically inept. Yes we didn't spend a whole lot of money. The facts are that the team are not gelling and we have no leadership and morale has just been flushed. There has not been a creative idea on tactics since the overlapping centre backs worked. From a tactics point of view if you don't reinvent every 4 or 5 years you are not competing.

On an individual game by game basis we don't have a lets have a right go by trying this and see what happens. Back when Newcastle were scoring 3 or 4 goals a game under Keegan. All the papers were wondering how Wimbledon would set up. The general consensus was they would park the bus. Big Fat Joe Kinnear thought if all these decent teams can't stop Newcastle from scoring 3 or 4 then Wimbledon won't either.
So he set up with 5 attacking players and got a 3-3 draw.

6/10 games against teams in Europe, of the remaining 4, 2 were away, 1 we drew and 1 we lost.

I expected us to perform like an upper Championship side, probably lose 3-0 but have a few attacks and shots.

Virtually every match we look no where near Championship level never mind Premier league level,
really think this team would be joining Sheff Wed into league 1. We should be performing and at least trying better than we are.

Sometimes it's not about losing but the way you lose. Opposition teams don't even need to try, Arsenal never got out of 2nd gear but scored 5.
Pre-season not one person expected this team to be the worse team in the 30 year history of the Premier League.
A team that bad would struggle in the Championship next season, so something needs to be done, anything, but at least try something.
