The season starts on the 10th August and finishes on 17th May. By my calculations that is 41 weekends to play 38 games (and that includes multiple games during Christmas and Easter). For those of you that are married, you will have fewer excuses for why you can't spend your weekends shopping at Meadowhall!!

Will the ''Sky SuperDooper Soccerballing VAR Weekend'' now start on a Thursday evening and finish five nights later with ''Monday Night Football''?

😂🤣

Fortunately living in Australia provides a pretty solid excuse to avoid Meadowhall

I'm thinking of opening a 'man zone' in meadowhall where blokes can escape the hell of shopping and have a drink, play some pool, maybe an xbox or two.

Like a creche for dads.

At least Lidl have the middle isles for the blokes to look at tools and gadgets as the wives do the weekly shop.
I just saw a bloke in Lidl. His trolley had two sets of metal shelving and a great big nog of cheese.

8 less games. i dont want to hear any of concentrate on the league crap. because even if we win fa cup that would only be 46 games

is peroni and moretti allowed?
are we allowed to bring our own nursie.....

Do we now get the chance to send the U21s to exotic places like Walsall and Macclesfield in the Auto Windscreens Shield?

Some of us need no excuse to steer clear of Meadowhall. I would hate to be one of those men you see dawdling about a metre behind the mrs with a face like thunder while she looks for yet another pair of Trousers just to drive the message home :D .

That place is pure torture. Makes my feet ache like hell. And when you decide enoghs is enough, it's always a 50 mile hike back to the car (which takes another half hour to find)! Gimme High street any day.

I'm a ST holder and married. My Wife doesn't attend matches for financial reasons.
When I'm not at a match, the last place you will find me is Meadowhell.

A colleague of mine has 2 daughters. When his Wife and them want some retail therapy, he offers to take them(none of the women drive) on the condition that he doesn't have to trawl round with them being forced to offer opinions on things he doesn't have opinions on.
He then takes them in the camper van instead of the car and while they're wrestling over the agonising, life-changing decision of which shade of red handbag is absolutely necessary to sit in their wardrobe for the rest of its life, he gets his head down for a few hours in the car park 😂

Grrr! We haven't even started the season and the International Breaks are making me angry!

Same number of international breaks as the Championship. The 8 fewer games means only a couple of rounds of midweek fixtures though. But there'll still be night matches on Friday and Mondays, maybe even a Saturday night game or 2. God I hate Sky
