What a disgrace you are at times. Not all of you but the small minority that decided to chant wanker at the club captain we don't want you here.

Doyle is public enemy no. 2 around these parts (behind Forte) so what ever he does he gets slated for it. Yes the ball to the wing was poor but boo and hurl abuse etc was ridiculous. That was one of the only things Doyle did wrong last night. In a performance so poor all round he never stopped running and intercepting the balls trying to get us going. Doyle does his job but for some fans this isn't enough.

McDonald never gets knocked and he doesn't perform.

Chappell came on did a similar pass that was intercepted but he's young so they applaud his effort. Where's the difference?

Doyle is a bigger man than I am. I wouldn't have come over to shake the delinquents hand at the end.

Doyle has been stealing a wage all season, he knows it, we all know it.

Perform at a constantly poor level in any other job and he would have been sacked long ago.

Granted he's not the only one but his performances havent risen above distinctly average and most of the time he's been utter garbage.

BOOOOOOO!

Last night reminded why I stopped going to away matches in the first place. 50 notes down the swanny, shite performance, back late and most of all the fucking dimwits in the crowd. Abusing your own players and cheering when the get subbed? Disgraceful.

The new scapegoats are Doyle and Forte.

I thought Doyle and Robson did OK last night. The last 20 minutes Doyle was trying to drive the team forward, played some great passes and actually showed be cared.

MacDonald keeps getting defended by some fans saying he doesn't have the players in front of him. Last night there were times when he had 3 or 4 option and still either passed the ball out of play or to the opposition when under no pressure. He doesn't like to tackle and and times, clear bottles it . Not a murmer from the boo boys lat night in particular when he had a free header in the 2nd half in their box and he just stood and let the defender win it.

I would rather have someone who tries 100% every game in my team than a show pony who pays well 1 in 10 games who doesn't battle for the team and hides during games .

As for Forte, the slightest things, fans are on his back. He clearly lacks confidence at the moment but he didn't hide last night even when he made mistakes(take a note KMac) and the abuse he got was uncalled for.

How did Chappell do? Is he the Messiah or just a very naughty boy?

:-)

Putting the abuse issue to one side, lets give HUGE CREDIT to the 1600 supporters who travelled to Crewe on a Tuesday evening knowing full well they would get little in return. Do the players appreciate it? I think not!

LOL

difficult to judge on the 20 minutes or so he had. He looks quick but he struggled to beat the full back on the couple of occasions he tried it. He didn't look like a 'game changer' but last night is probably not the game to judge him

Doyle,Porter,Harry and Collins last night. As for the others, they couldn't get off the pitch quick enough

I guess the measure of a winger is how many decent deliveries he makes to create chances.
Did he deliver any decent crosses?
If you come on with 20 to go and you are a winger and you don't deliver then it's one of three things.
1. you didn't get into the right position to receive the ball
2. your team mates are so shit that they couldn't find you with a half decent pass
3. you need to think of an alternative career

Doyle closed down well for the goal I see, At least he was within 5 yards of the ball which is an improvement

Doesn't takea big man to shake a man's hand, it takes a big man to put a performance in. I think you need to look at Skysports news and ask yourself what he was doing for the goal.

He had a great chance to cross when given the ball with space on the right, hesitated too much and his cross was blocked for a throw. I think his only other involvement of note was a shot after cutting in from the left. I'd be surprised if he's involved in the remaining games.

There was a nice interchange with Mcfadzean down the left too which created a decent opening. He doesn't look a worldbeater but who has for us over the past 45 games?

Thanks.

Is his contract up at the end of this season? If so, I assume he will be released.

Macdonald ducked a header and a tackle for the first goal on Saturday ,for a player of his talent he had a lot of room on saturday and did nothing but go backwards or sideways ,no options is an easy cop out. As i have said before he is the most talented at the club ,and the most disappointing for me.

I didn't see any of this. It IS uncalled for, although even the most one eyed Blades fan must agree that Doyle has been a shithouse this season? Not that he is alone in that honour of course.

There was a thread on here last year, i think it was Bergen Blade that put it on. He analysed the performances of players and scores them on good and bad things throughout the game.

For instance. The interceptions that Doyle made result in a +. The not closing down the player for their goal results in a -. Everybody makes mistakes. 90% of the goals conceded are down to somebody's mistake.

I would like to see the comparison of scores for Doyle & McDonald over the course of the season using Bergen's scoring system.

P.S. A bottled 50/50 or a bottled header from McDonald results in a negative point.

Doyle is Montgomery. Goes un-noticed for the hard work he puts in. Every team needs a hard working midfielder to break up play. But for every hard working midfielder there is, he needs a creative midfielder alongside him to take the next step forward.

Doyle is getting knocked as he is having to do McDonalds job. Why should Doyle be attempting threaded balls through the defence? He has to because McDonald isn't helping him out.

For me I would play Doyle & Robson in CM and let McDonald warm the bench against Preston

After last night, I personally would play the same U-18 team that defeated SWFC 4-1 yesterday. Chances are it could be more entertaining.

I do think that Doyle goes missing in games quite often, whether that is down to MacDonald is another question, but certainly MacDonald has been woeful to shit for 85% of the season.

Completely agree. Cannot believe we have another thread criticising the fans given some of the disgraceful performances we've had to put up with this season.

A huge credit does go to the ones who went. Especially the majority who had to get up and work this morning.

The minority ruin it. Like the two who basically shouted abuse at the steward 4 rows infront of them who basically was sitting there minding his own business.

"Steward is a cunt"
"Take your shit cap off steward you cunt"
"Steward daren't look at us"
"nah then steward, fuck off to Rotherham you tramp"

Basically they wanted a bit of a fight and didn't like the fact the steward ignored them. All the way through the second half we had to listen to these idiots.

They were two rows behind me. Two blokes in front of me left with the words, "We can't listen to them anymore - idiots!" I've said this elsewhere, but they weren't even remotely funny. Pathetic.

The new scapegoats are Doyle and Forte.
tell them to stop being crap and they'll soon not be the scapegoats.. the scapegoats are the players considered to be letting the team down. we had ALL this with fucking Monty.. Doyle runs around blah fucking blah.. puts a good shift in .. yawn
Doyle wouldn't have got in Jordanthorpe cubs 11 .. his shooting is embarassing

Well done to all the fans who are ridiculing this pathetic collection of players. About time they got some abuse. Keep it up lads.

Well it what happens when you see your loved team crumble in front of your own eyes, emotions get the better of everyone, and don't isolate our fans.
Every football team fans have moments - Newcastle - Millwall (again) Stoke - Football fans do get over emotional when it comes to watching their team and it does go over board at times.
but lets be honest its been abysmal season, we should always be expect to fight for promotion and this season the players have choked big time.

So how come MacDonald has avoided the scapegoat tag then ? He has been just as bad as Doyle this season if not worse ?

Paul Scholes' tackling is embarrassing. But that's not his job
