Still don't agree it 'wasn't a position we needed filling'.

Sharp is our top scorer and the 3rd top scorer in the league. Also, we were only about the 8th top scorers in the league, scoring 35 fewer than MK Dons. What many failed to recognise at the time (and still do) is that we needed a whole new 11, from back to front. Well, we did once we sold our only decent player anyway!

Oh I agree we needed to fill that position, just after the defence, midfield and GK in my opinion.

Although not a Cloughie signing. Before his appointment nobody would have bought Jamie Murphy for a bag full of washers. Under Clough's guidance the club attracted a sizable fee.

Which under normal circumstances Adkins would be grateful for. Jim doesn't really give credit where credit's due.
