That's how to start off your managerial career with a new side.

Smashing top of the league at home. After one game he has already got half way to doing what it took Micky Adams fifteen games to do (i.e. win a second game). How many games before a win for Micky? I lost count, 13?

There are (unfair) comparisons going on between an injury wrecked Sean O'Driscoll's team at Donny and Micky Adam's United. This is a better one for you. Alan Knill takes over a truly woeful Scunthorpe and gets a result. Ale house Adams cannot muster a win in a dozen games.

This is about Sheffield United (before the calls for it to be moved start). Adams, do us a fvour and fuck off. You are a proud Sheffielder and a Blade. Do what is best for us and resign. No compensation, no bollocks, admit it was a disaster and walk.

There are altogether too many people revelling in our failure to get results on this site. I sometimes wish I hadn't bothered joining.

Its true though isnt it? There is a small minority that revel in it Yoss. The majority of complainants (as in Olle's case) are just bitterly disappointed and frustrated. Even those the revel have a point!

I will follow the Blades no matter what league they're in and I always give them my full backing when I'm at the lane.....but I have no sympathy for the criticism they're getting. It is fully justified and the least they can do is take it on the chin as a club.

he actually lost his first game 6-0 ,so you can put away your stiffy now

I haven't got a clue who you could possibly be talking about, but there were some very forthright views from people when adams got the job from those who thought SOD wouldn't be up to it and the Alehouse would battle his way out of it etc etc.

That is a fact but it's hard to take you seriously when you appear to have missed the fact that McCabe swapped £17m of loan for equity a few weeks ago.

You actually beat me to that.

They actually got sausaged in the rectum by Norwich too. QPR just had an off day by the looks of it, like all Warnock teams do now and then.

i didnt miss anything please dont try and cover up your embarassment by making things up

was it just me, or did paddy kenny look mighty suspect for at least two of those goals by the great world-beating scunthorpe united?

MINOR details. So it took Knill 2 games to win a game and it took Micky 13 to win one.

There is no revelling in this from me. I am as pissed off as everyone else. This thread is merely aimed at highlighiting that people should not be defending our pub team manager. He is simply not good enough. The fact that almost every other manager in the business can muster a win in their first few games seems to mean nothing to the hoof lovers.

But, it'll be reit. Micky is a Sheffielder. He'll sort it. Forget about his record, his signings and the way we have pathetically got relegated. He's a Blade! No one would have saved us. Not even Wenger could have taken a team in little danger, 5th from bottom and then stopped them from plummeting to rock bottom in 3 months

Get real Micky lovers. The guy is a joke. Hoofy, dinasour Dave and couldn't hit a barn door Corky are an embarrassment to the club. We're the laughing stock of the league.

Let's stop this nonsense of us being in 'little danger' when Adams took over. 5th from bottom is 'in danger' (this is also massive revisionism from you Olly, who was predicting a relegation battle at the start of the season)

we had not been in the bottom 4 all season, had a decent run in of games, a transfer window and a high paid squad. Even though 5th from bottom, I never considered us to be in real danger. But ok Highbuty, point taken, I will stick to my original comments of 'flirting with relegation'.

Your point in brackets is way out. I tipped us for a mid table finish. I seem to remember saying that we would be mid table, but bottom half. I am pretty sure I said we'd finish around 13th. I am sure I can find quotes (though i don't really have time at the moment) if you dispute.

I seem to remember you saying there were only three teams worse than us in the league about 5 games in.

Much later in the season. And also out of context. I thought that we were better than Palace, Scunny, Preston, Bristol and Coventry. Also not much difference between United and Derby, Barnsley and Milwall.

I guess this proves wrong those who said appointing him would be the death Knill for the Blades.

Ill get my coat.

I have been very quite on here for a while - I really wanted Micky Adams to do well, not just to keep the Blades playing in a reasonable standard of football ,but, also because I warmed to Adams over the years since his Fulham days and thought he might do a good job!
I also realise he took over a shower of sh!te but what has he done?
1) He has added to the pile of sh!te we had with the likes of Collins, Doyle, Bent - all poor poor players than give United nothing extra
2) He loses Bartley and Vokes by replacing them with permanant players Collins and Henderson
3) He changes the team every week whether it's lose, lose, win, lose, lose
4) He has been at the club since Christmas and every week without fail is mistake after mistake

I really wanted Micky to succeed but he, like I must now admit defeat.
Sorry Micky, it's not worked - not all your fault but you've not helped yourself
If only the clowns McCabe, Birch et al could be replaced by someone who cares!!!!!

Good to see you back Mr Fiery; a very respected poster.

top post Fiery. Hits the nail on the head. Welcome back.

Reading some of the replies on here makes me wonder sometimes.

Some posters will probably get so excited when we are confirmed relegated that they will begin spit roasting each other in the Bramall Lane car park.

I wouldn't be suprised to hear vinegar stroke cries of 'McCabe out' or '(Insert below par abusive nickname) fuck off'.

That's right Mousey - I'm chuffed to see United in 3rd tier.

Well done, great post.

you've posted some rubbish before, but this takes the biscuit.

United fans that give up their time and money to watch the squad week in week out, travel up and down the county, buy stuff from the club and care enough to post on message boards every day are happy to see us get relegated.

These type of posts always make me laugh. Yeah, Mic, myself and Lenners etc sit at the match and sectretly want United to lose. When we are upset, grumpy and pissed off after the game it is all a mirrage. Smoke and mirrors.

I'd stick to correcting people's spelling mistakes Mousey.

now that was a funny post

While I'm sure none of us want the Blades to win there are certainly some who relish these too-frequent opportunities to push their own agenda. In the same way as some favourites who aren't seen for days after each win.

now that was a funny post

Not just funny but sadly accurate. They haven't made it depressing but have made it boring ,I must admit that I don't bother to read any posts by a couple of the 'supporters' on here.
