Ah I was thinking about calling somebody intellectually challenged but not having the mental capacity to spell it correctly.

I did pose earlier in this thread some points that were obviously too close to home or challenging to respond to. So I'm resorting to pointing out silly things like that to make him happy again. I know he's missed me.

There was nowt to respond to. It just wasn't the same without you pulling me up for spelling mistakes (many would say because you could not come back with a compelling argument) and hence I decided to provoke you Didn't feel the need to reply to your last post.

Impossible to predict ,just as you wouldn't have predicted where we are now 5 years ago. We don't know who will be running the club never mind the team. My position is as a supporter who enjoys going to see Utd home and especially away but realises its a game ,not the end of the world ,I have much more important issues in my life and Sheffield United are a major release from everything else. I don't really mind what division we are in if truth be told or how many are there because I have had some of my best experiences in the 4th division and with small followings. I went to London for the weekend last week with some great mates and had a brilliant time even though I knew we would lose ,that doesn't mean to say I don't get angry or depressed because I do but there is a bigger picture. I was 'fucking sad' until I was on my 3rd pint in Ealing ,we are not Man Utd and I don't want us to be Man Utd ,I love Sheff Utd and I love everything being a Sheff Utd brings ,good and bad.
Just worry about being here in 5 years time ,some of us won't be.

I do not remember criticising Carver. I wanted rid of Blackwell and slagged him off. I also critiqued Speed. I feel I have the right, as a fan, to slag off poor decisions made by our managers. This season Speed, Blackwell and Adams have made ots of mistakes. Hence my criticism. Simples (as the merekats would say).

I was referring, of course, to Ollie's fulsome praise for Alan Knill. Knill has shown himself to be only marginally better than Adams at getting results. (In the 6 games since Knill took over Scunthorpe they have won 2, drawn 1 and lost 3. Goals for 8, goals against 13. The Blades have won 2 and lost 4 Goals for 8, goals against 14).

Scunthorpe are up to their necks into League 1, they're 6 points behind Doncaster and Palace with a goal difference 17 worse than Doncaster's. They don't need good fortune, they need a miracle along the lines of feeding the 5,000. Which is what their crowd will be on the final day.

Alan Knill has won 2 of his first 6 games. Micky Adams did not win a game until his 13th in charge. Need I go on?

Ok, yes I will. Knill has taken over a very poor side, looking already relegated and made a fight of things. It has not worked out, but he tried hard. They beat relegation rivals and smashed top of the league at home. He has not kept them up, but he has tried with dignity. Adams took over a side 5th from bottom and now we are relgated. He took us from looking safe-ish to botom of the league. Despite having the chance to brin in players. His too little, too late fightback means nothing. Loks at this record. 4 wins in 20.

My example stil stands. You expect a new manager to come in and win a few games. Knill has done that. Adams did not. I congratulated Knill for making a go of things and I commiserate him for his team being relegted. But at least thy put up a bit of a fight;
