BBC SPORT:

"Sheffield United boss David Weir has acknowledged that the side must start winning soon if he is to keep his job."

I'd say, " ... must start winning soon if the poor bastards who pay to watch such shite finally snap under the disillusionment and are out in the car park demanding the heads of the board, playing staff and club employees alike."

It's taken him how many games without a win to finally acknowledge this shit-stopping notion?

The fact that we were rock-bottom of the division, sat on the trap-door with footballing superstars as Gillingham, Shrewsbury, Oldham, Carlise and Bradford above us?

The fact that we scraped out a draw at home against Crawley Town?

The man is asleep at the wheel. I cans see McCabe's vision now and it is all cack.

He also said "We're trying to install something over a period of time and we need to see improvements and we need to see results.
"Hopefully this result will buy me some time, I'm taking a lot of positives from it."

Reckon he knows his number is nearly up, I expect drastic changes tomorrow night and this weekend......

Problem is although I think there are people dissatisfied and want him to go there is a general air of disinterest in doing anything about getting him gone.
While there where Boo's at the final whistle on Friday I don't think (at the Mo') there is a real stomach to actually try to get him out - demonstrations etc.

I think its a case of here we go again rather than change it NOW with the majority of Blades.

I cant see it tbh......

I think most want him gone, I certainly do as hes wank! but I think most are apathetic because they're scared of who we might get next.

It is annoying that all those childish spazzes who had a carpark protest when Wilson started havent had one yet for Weir. It seems having a piggy background is far worse than actually being completely shit and the worst manager we've ever had

At the moment the club is a disgrace and those high up in the club should open their eyes to it.

You'd think he'd orchestrated a point away to Man City rather than a draw at home to Crawley Town.

I think for that statement alone he should be sacked, a draw at home to Crawley is considered a good result. Just how far have we dropped

As I am sure most people would, I would rather give a manager time and even a chance when matches aren't going our way.
However with the results we have had and the performances in some of them I think he has to go.
If he had a track record elsewhere then I can understand a bit more patience.

As for the car park protest for Wilson I went round from work to see what was gonna happen.
There was about 20-30 people chanting but the majority was there the same as me-just to observe and not get involved.

Most overrated and slightly pointless protest ever....

Still atleast it got noticed by a few, Ive always been a firm advocate of sticking with managers but Ive seen enough of this twerp to know he has no promise and must go

I think one of the problems we have is that if he goes then who do we get??
Then if that goes tits up then McCabe looks worse for chopping and changing too often again.

I think he will stick it out for a while longer with Weir. Unless we lose the next few.

However without going all ITK'er, I have it on good authority that both Utd and Notts County have both contacted Paul Cox's agent and been told to get lost......

I dont see this as a problem IF we have got money, we should now be able to poach a decent manager off any team doing better than us. People say no manager will come as we keep sacking them which has some merit until you wave a million pound signing on bonus infront of their faces.

By the same reasoning I cant see any agent telling us to get lost as they make most of their cash when their clients move. People always blame the agents for unsettling players so they can get a nice bonus, dont see why it would be any different with managers

Weir has become the man nobody is willing to defend. The 2nd half of the Crawley game has at least given a little hope the players are willing to fight but that will go as soon as he reverts to type. Time to adapt Davey boy and change the way we play

It wasn't the agant who said get lost- Sorry my post didn't make that clear. But I get your point.

IF we have the money I agree that the mangerial pool we can fish in will be bigger however I don't feel that most Blades fans at the mo' want to go to the trouble of protesting to get change...

As mentioned before I think its only because of apathy they dont want to protest, I think the dull football and dull manager has just made us all dull.

Port Vale game is the first one that Im seriously thinking I just wont go to, I just wish my ST didnt count if I dont go so at least it would be 1 less on the attendance.

I am probably alone in this, but whilst I think it looks like DW is not going to cut it as a manager, I still don't want him to go. This is for 2 reasons. 1: Who do we get to replace him? 2: I have this nagging feeling that one day he may well make it, even though I think he will not. Confused???? I am.

1.Absolutely anyone!

I still think my granny (deceased 1991) could do a better job than Weir.

Only think? Im almost certain even with the percentage for error in the Ouija board that she'd mop the floor with him

I don't understand why people believe Weir will accomplish anything,Carsley will side with him as he knows if Weir goes he is gone with him.
The man has no record of succeeding as a manager, his accomplishment is that he was a player and there are lots of those that would never cut it as managers.

I don't know why they're taking so long to get shut of him. This is what they did with Robson, if they'd sacked him a month earlier we'd have made the play-offs in 2008 and for once we'd have gone into them flying instead of p1ssed off with finishing 3rd ('03, '09 and '12) or staggering over the line ('98 and '13) .

Get shut of him now, get someone decent in and we might just have enough time left in the season to make top 6. It would take title winning form to get us top 6 now, but it is a sh1t division and once on a roll it easy enough to knock the wins off. Carry on with Weir for much longer (say unitl Jan) and we could quite easily get stuck in a proper relegation battle.

If Weir goes I'd take Clough Jnr. His philosophy and record with Derby both make him a good bet for us.

21 Crewe 6
22 Sheff U 5
23 Stevenage 5
24 Tranmere 5
